Even though everyone's economy is tanking, one thing I learned all about this is that if the United States is going down, were going to take everyone down with us and the economy issue is just that great example. The US and everyone will get out this, but its going to take a while obviously. Still, the big part of it starting was the Republican backed deregulation of Wall Street back in 2000 and 2001 which left Wall Street unchecked which then later snowballed into this situation.

Too true, China is on the uprise in this recession - and even though the Western Nation's economies are falling apart, China's is still up at an impressive 7% increase - dropping only 4%.

Even though China isn't as bad as the US is, China still got hit during this recession. Still go to the 60 minutes interview on google with Federal chairman Ben Bernake. He said as long as the financial system particularly the US is on stable footing, you will see some sort of recovery by 2010. Still, to prevent this crisis ever happening again, there HAS to be regulations throughout each countries and stimulus money that provide some type of job growth.

Don't forget about Japan, they had a similar crisis where the housing market went bad and these zombie banks dragged down their economy all through the 90's. They tried 10 separate stimulus packages that were too small and ended up with stagnant growth. Heck even now their GDP went down 13% which is unheard of in Japan. Still luckily for the US we have the FDIC where if a bank fails, your bank account gets protected up to $250,000 US dollars.

We all know that everyone in the world hates Bush and on Jan 20th,he will be gone forever. We all know that the Obama campaign did everything better. Better grassroots, better fundraising, no infighting, they just did everything better than the McCain campaign. Still Obama and the Democratic Congress have a lot of things to do once he gets in. Since he does have a majority of the Congress, he can pretty much get what he needs passed when he starts out.
