Three titles with Bird, one title with the G.O.A.T, The Immortal One Himself, the God of the NBA Michael Jordan. Four NBA titles for the Chief, Robert Parish. An impressive 20+ year career for him. All of that he accomplished.
i go to WoodLawn High School and his picture is hanging in tha gym so is terry Bradshaw and some more people make me proud to be at that school thats why im going to tha NBA just like Robert Parish did
Favorited. video was awesome. Music made it even cooler. I listen to this music when i brush my teeth every morning. Just play it off my phone. Makes my day to come feel so...epic
u know whats cool my dad played against him in high school my dad got knocked out when he hit his head on robert parish's hip bone so my dad actually played with him and got knocked out by him lol
@rsagen100 Thats bad ass Parish is/was the shit guess he league has moved on and whatever but he got the job signed and delivered. Of course he was 1 of the original big 3.
Bottom line is that he was no way near Chamberlain,Jabbar,Russel latter Olajuwon,Shaq neither with quality or career stats..he got selected into 50 greatest partially for being in same team with Bird and partially for playing 21 yrs
@KorisnickoIme84 so? winning is key! without chief they do not win those rings! plus when they werent playing and he had to carry the team, he proved he could have been a 25+ point scorer easily. he just didnt have to. he's not one of the elite a-list but he's the next rung down. whats so wrong with that? he was the ray allen of that big 3!
@KorisnickoIme84 have u checked out his rebound and block totals with the big 3? he was the dominant defender-enforcer type. hybrid of kg and perk defensively! plus he was a great passer who could hit his foul shots, hit the open j and post up when it was needed. the guy was goood about 18 per season and over 10 rebounds, plus he always led the team in field goal percentage not mchale or bird. so come on, look at both offfense and defense plus reboundg and shooting and he gets his due!
Parish played in more games than any other player in NBA history. A 7-1 center who combined strength, agility and remarkable endurance, Parish won 3 NBA titles with the Boston Celtics in the 80s with Larry Bird and Kevin McHale one of the greatest front lines in NBA history. He capped his career by winning yet another championship ring with the 1996-97 Chicago Bulls. Parish announced his retirement after his 21st season in the NBA, and after playing in 1,611 games..CHIEF!!!!!
The chief was overshadowed by larry and kevin but without him the celtics don't win a title! he was VERY UNDERRATED ! the big three LARRY KEVIN AND CHIEF were the best front line in NBA history
he lives in charlotte i think, ive seen him like 4 times over here, at ihop and the mall and random places, im always like "chief!!!" you cant miss him hes huge. FIrst time i saw him i walked up to him and said "if you only knew the number of sundays i spent watching you and bird play".
what a legend, I remember seeing him play at the charlotte coliseum for the hornets at the end of his career and he could still hit the clutch shot and play stout defense and he was like 100 then
robert's really down to earth. i flew with him over the summer on the way to FL with a layover in philly. we talked to him, and instead of asking for an autograph or anthing my dad just said, "Thanks for all the things you did for entertainment." and he said he really appreciated that hes a good guy
Love the music. Makes me want to crank up the emulator find the rainbow shell so I can get that badass sword. "someone with heart, someone with tenacity, someone that plays the game with passion" -- Pretty good definition of "a beast"
Yea, me to. I love the music for this vid as well. It goes well with Robert cuz he was known as the Chief n Chief's r considered wise n leaders. He has a heart of a champion n is very durable and smart. A great defensive player as well as a solid scorer. A true hall of famer n NBA Super Star. Robert is clearly one of the best players to ever play in the NBA period.
A lot of people forget, that he was called "THE CHIEF," because he used to play for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Sometimes he played wide-receiver. Sometimes tight-end.
He was tall and he had good hands. But he was offered a lot more money to play in the NBA. Plus, he got to travel the country a lot more, than regular NFL players.
Plus, he always dreamed of playing for The Boston Celtics.

In their prime, you couldn't have asked for a better frontline than Bird, McHale, and him. This coming from a lifelong Lakers fan.
