The song kind of reminds me of the original movie scenes "Highlander"; where Conner tries to build a life with his beloved Heather, watches her grow old while he being immortal stays young. It was touching and heart breaking as she asks looking his youthful face why he stays and he says because he loves her and she dies in his arms. Was sad as he torched the home they lived in and sank his family sword to mark her grave. Immortality without the special loved one to share it seems so empty.

i am depressed, gothic, and love this music, it helps with my depression. im depressed because of this im in love with someone i cant have, because he was taken away from me, because my mom found out what me and him were talking about or telling eachother, im 15 so i think that me and him should be together, but my mom thinks im to young to be in love, but i think shes wrong, me and him still like eachother still...... we will be together again soon!!! this gothic music is all i have left.

@AdrianvonZiegler I agree.My mom forbids me to wear all black anymore b/c she thnks it alters my mood and that I looked really sad during that time.In reality I was the happiest then. I adore darker, Gothic clothing and even my friends commented on happy I was back then, b/c I felt I was reflecting my true self. I feel safe and protected in black and gothic clothing, and gothic music is absolutely beautiful.

Goths are those who listen and openly fans of that music genre mainly. This song is not something I'd personally call "gothic" per se, even though it does have a Darkwave-beauty coming from it. Since then it has become a subculture that started in Europe and North America, having nothing in relation to any sort of music scene. It was made up of many different kinds of people who were all artistically driven and has the need to express themselves even if it was not socially acceptable. The common goth stereotype came from ignorant people who won't bother to research things.

i dont stereo type because dispite the fact i wear black and red a lot im still me :) and i get stereotyped anyway plenty of times so embrace being goth if you are because to most who truly can be passionately goth it might be a way of life for them for a reason NOT because their posers which a large amount are an its pretty easy to spot a fake

with the way i dress all black and the way i act always drawing things that look beautiful to me like a crying angel or a black rose my whole thinks im crazy and want me to change they are practically kickin me out of the family and im only a 16 year old girl with a deprssing life not even my school life is better i play violin and clarinet but mostly clarinet and i play things of my emotion to make me forget even this music helps me just by listening to it so thank you for this music

i am depressed, gothic, and love this music, it helps with my depression. im depressed because of this im in love with someone i cant have, because he was taken away from me, because my mom found out what me and him were talking about or telling eachother, im 15 so i think that me and him should be together, but my mom thinks im to young to be in love, but i think shes wrong, me and him still like eachother still...... we will be together again soon!!! this gothic music is all i have left.

every time i go to places like the mall with my friends, or my high school, i have people looking at me like im weird, but i dont care what they think. people call me emo, gothic, crazy, ect. but i tell them, "im not emo, im gothic, i dont mind you calling me gothic, but please dont call me emo, emo people cut themselves, and i dont do that" there are sometimes when i want to cut myself, but my mind and body tells me not to, i think that emo guys are hotter then gothic ones!! i love gothic music

@AdrianvonZiegler I agree.My mom forbids me to wear all black anymore b/c she thnks it alters my mood and that I looked really sad during that time.In reality I was the happiest then. I adore darker, Gothic clothing and even my friends commented on happy I was back then, b/c I felt I was reflecting my true self. I feel safe and protected in black and gothic clothing, and gothic music is absolutely beautiful.
To me Gothic is true beauty; and it takes certain people to realize and understand that.

@alishashaan Goth, in terms of subculture, is related to a Post-Punk movement which culminated in what we call Gothic Rock/Darkwave. Goths are those who listen and openly fans of that music genre mainly. This song is not something I'd personally call "gothic" per se, even though it does have a Darkwave-beauty coming from it. I like it.

I didn't think there were parts of my heart that hadn't been shattered by bullying, but now I realize there are, and this song has touched the parts that are left. It's a style and expression that reflects the feelings and interest of the one utilizing it, not anything taboo or bizarre. But some say im a poser.
But I dnt think either really knows what goth stands for.

@XxRosiRavenxX From what I know, originally gothic was a popular type of architecture for churches in Europe. Since then it has become a subculture that started in Europe and North America, having nothing in relation to any sort of music scene. It was made up of many different kinds of people who were all artistically driven and has the need to express themselves even if it was not socially acceptable. The common goth stereotype came from ignorant people who won't bother to research things.
