His American accent is kinda wierd. I don't know what accent it is, sounds like a cross between southern and the Bronx. Please don't thumbs down me, I'm just stating my opinion. :D

Yeah, it sounds kind of like a deep south (east coast) accent.
It's kind of funny how the guy who played Dr. Kenshi character has to speak in a British accent for the part, but Lennie James is actually British so when he would hear the other guy he would go into his natural accent. Thats why Hawkins and Kenshi aren't in any scenes together.
