  • "Save it for later" needs to become a meme.

  • I wonder if i should save this for later?

  • Never could figure out where the damned silver key was.

  • jellybombs and running away from 8 balls.... haha good times..... good times....

  • they need to make this game for android

  • If Tim and Eric made a first person shooter...

  • The doors open too fast because the person recording the footage decided to run DOSBox in max setings instead of a fixed cycles count of like 16000 or 20000

Raising your height and not being able to restore it is also a glitch that happens on faster machines

  • I've downloaded it

it works but I'll save it for later!

  • love the music

  • I was gonna take a piss until I started watching

    I saved it for later

  • i remmember this,,its been ages

  • Haha this really brings back memories :) I love the details, like the little peep-holes in the doors and stuff.

  • nice music!

  • I bought this game for $2 like 15 years ago was so shit

  • A Call of Duty fan disliked this. He should of saved it for later.

  • You know what? I'm going to save it for later.

  • Watch where you shoot that thing.

  • I can beat you CuteFloor in this game

I have played it none stop since the 90's and I know a lot of rooms you did not show

  • I really liked level 1's music in this version. I wonder why it was changed?

  • I liked the song he used in the first level, I don't know why he changed it in the later versions.

  • Floor 2 music is cool.

  • I love this game. Not to mention, it was a great alternative to Wolfenstein 3D since if you didn't like all the cryptic shit in that game, you could play this one instead since it basically tells you what to do and much more. That doesn't mean that the game is easy, it gives the player a sense of accomplishment in a more legit manner. You could call it cheating, but if the programmer gives the game to you in that way, then it's legit.

    Awesome.

  • I was play it game, and I remenber its nice music, I would like get the soundtracks

  • 1990s technology equals lame and boring. upgrade 1990-2020

  • WATCH WHERE YOU SHOOT THAT THING!

  • i never played it before so to me it looks stupid and the music is lame like the voices sound like robots and the graphics are bad

  • @leakesonasucs Allo, graphicfag. Go back to your little Modern Warfare 2.

  • @XxZ3cr0t3rn1tYxX the graphics ARE bad. They were made by a fucking teenager for christ's sake. goddamn retrogaming elitist.

  • @TheCheezWizz

The graphics are bad because you are looking at it in 2010.

Go back to about the start of this game.

  • @EricAwYuhLiang Are you fucking dumb? You really are, aren't you.

    THE GRAPHICS.

    ARE BAD.

Not because they're not 3D models, not because there aren't enough colors, not because they're low fucking res.

You fucking retard. The graphics are LITERALLY BAD.

  • @TheCheezWizz

Then what is your definition of good graphics?

    Modern Warfare 2?

And what are you so angry about?

  • @EricAwYuhLiang What the fuck is wrong with you? Why is it so hard to get across the fact that the graphics are shit because they are made by a shit artist? Are you all just completely retarded?

  • @TheCheezWizz

    What's so bad about it?

And if I am a retard I wouldn't be on the computer chatting with you.

This game was released in 1993, so show me a game which has better graphics than this.

  • @EricAwYuhLiang You're kidding me, right? You think there's absolutely no difference in quality between some teenager's little project and a fucking professional studio? What. The. Fuck. Either stop trying to troll or smarten up. Whichever applies.

Perhaps you've heard of a game called Doom? Or maybe if we go further back you'll remember Wolfenstein 3D... Wait a minute let's rewind even further. Catacomb 3D was made in 1991 and even that has better graphics despite the 16 color palette!

  • @TheCheezWizz

The enemies and textures were probably used for a comical effect and not meant to be realistic. If they were meant to look realistic, it would look odd and wouldn't fit in with the music, game play and story. Just look at the various props as well - spinning fans and target boards. Obviously, this game is from someone's imagination and meant to be funny, not to be taken seriously.

  • @EricAwYuhLiang And you still don't realize we're talking about a teenager with no art skill.

  • @TheCheezWizz

Maybe that was what he intended to draw - funny-looking stuff.

  • @EricAwYuhLiang Have you even seen the differences between Walken, Ken's Labyrinth and the Epic version of Ken's Labyrinth? He's just not very good at art. Why do you think he got someone to help him and make actual good looking stuff that ended up in the Epic version?

  • @TheCheezWizz

Well if it's art, then I admit it wasn't very well-drawn.

    The graphics were cool though.

  • @TheCheezWizz

Forget what I've said and go back to trolling.

  • lol me too,i stll remember how the music was from the speaker

  • your so lucky you have sound blaster for this, i had pc speaker only :/

  • his 3d engine looks better than wolfenstein's 3d, and he was 17. Unbelievable

  • @DanMa3x I'm 9 months late to say this, but it shares a lot of similarities. There aren't any pushwalls, which is a step back, but there are several other ways to interact with walls and objects that most games didn't even consider. the enemies were pretty poorly programmed though, since they're stuck on the same grid the map is. It's a real mixed bag improvements.

  • 92 year? Silverman is a genius!

  • Watch where you shoot that thing! Haha...fun game.

  • save it for later

  • What is that lightning for? 1:42

  • You are new son. Nothing stays the same.

  • 1:12 is that kens voice

  • simply epic

  • wtf i have an older version of this!

  • It`s a long time ago but I always loved to play it. ;-)

  • I LOVE this game and I am only 17! XD It has great music and is fun to play.

  • haha this looks like something i would have loved as a kid. would have been more interactive than the labyrinth screensaver for windows that i used to stare at pretending i'm in it.

  • yeah, I think I did, and I remember it was easier and not so scary as the later versions

  • Duuuuuuuuuude, I remember this game!! It was awesome!! Thanks for bringing back some old school memories!

  • I used to love shooting the bubblegum at creatures! It was awesome.....

  • *subtext* latter this guy went on to form EA.

  • Save it for later.

  • Save it for later.

  • "Watch where you shoot that thing!" "Watch where you shoot that thing!" Lol.

  • Ouch!

  • i loved this game alot

  • save it for later..

    wtf haah idk

  • this was obviously designed by a lone programmer haha

  • WATCH WHERE YOU SHOOT THAT THING!

  • *shoots at target again*

  • I loved this game!

  • i... do not understand this game...

  • This is different from the version I had. The enemies were replaced with flying blue gargoyle heads that scared the fuck out of me when I was little. I would have rather shot up cartoony looking Frankensteins.

  • lol 01:10 and 01:13 "watch where u shoot that thing"

  • I LOVE this game! it was, and still IS one of the better 3d games out there, IMO. I have emailed Ken Silverman back and forth for a while now. He is such a COOL dude! =D

  • I remember this game vividly.

  • Screw you

  • ima get this when i build my dos-box

  • Aweseome! I love this game! It is one of my all time favs.

  • OMG Ken's Labyrith was such a weird game! It was sooo good though!

  • I remember this!! Only we had it in black and white, because there where no colors on our computer :P

  • like the first game I ever played was an earlier version of this. I remember the music.. and Ken had pictures of himself on several walls.

  • You have no idea what you're talking about, kid.

  • Yeah, Because now there is a bunch of easy ass game engines to use. You had to start from scratch back then bud.

  • actually this looks very much like wolfenstein3d and you can get addons to create your own levels. I have one for duke nukem 3d.

  • im best player to that game!

i play it from 1992 to day

  • looks lot like the wofinstain 3d game engine so what did he actualy program??

  • The engine is developed independently, as id hadn't released the Wolfenstein source and hadn't licensed the engine to him. That means he programmed the engine single handedly.

The version of the game sent to publishers was sent out in september 92, four months after the release of Wolf3d.

This is quite an achievement at the age of 17.

He also made the build-engine used for Duke Nukem 3D. The build engine is probably what he is most recognized for in the game industry.

  • kool thanx for the info... now im a bit more inteligent then 4 minuts ago jejeje and if it wasent for him i would of not enjoyed playing duke nukem 3d when i was little... i always thought they used a varient of the doom engine for that game.. iv been reading a bit and its cool how these warent real 3dengins and how they had to overlap different floors to make a 3d world effect and how this was one of the first engines where you could actualy walk under bridges... and things.. kool

  • According to Ken's Labyrinth official web page, this was done in 1992, 15 long years ago... Nice job for the time, especially at only 14 years old and I presume, all by himself!

  • you could at least use the GL port of ken's labyrinth, the sound crashiness is very well known when you run the game by dos.

  • why don't you use 2.0

  • Because I got this from my old archive and recorded the video before I noticed that there was a newer version. But since then I'm not able to get the 2.0 version run properly, it crashs while using sounds. Ken must have changed something there. So I decided to upload the 1.x version instead :/

  • I shall pass :p

  • Looks more related to Wolfenstein 3d, hmm.

  • nice shot, too bad it doesn't count

  • Watch where you shoot that thing! :D

  • This game really sucked but its interesting to watch nevertheless.

  • Yeah, it sucks, but remember - this is the first game of BUILD engine creator - Ken Siverman. And he made this in the age of 14 years.

  • Yeah its pretty cool in that aspect
