  • eww i swim there too

  • My teachers told me Lake Erie had no life in it because it was so polluted. Liars!

  • @SanFranGirl1982 most teachers get paid to lie.they have to teach the governments agenda only, weather its false or truth.i mean they taught us oswald killed JFK,and cavemen attacked the strongest military in the world and won.its up to you to do your own research for the real truth, its a must.

  • lake erie is very gross

  • I wonder how deep the water here is....it couldn't be that deep because Lake Erie is by far the shallowest of the Great lakes !

  • ewes, and I go swimming in there....lol

  • @theblogforyou i used to have one of those blue crabs as a pet man they were kick ass

  • Great vid bro!!! That was one big craw dad.. Looked like a lobster.. What's the difference between a craw dad and a lobster besides salt and fresh water?

  • i didnt know lake erie had watersnakes.but i did see a snapping turtle swim by while i was sitting on a dock fishing.

  • Awesome footage.

  • Don't mean to be off topic but is there a strong crawfish population in Erie?

  • Neat.

  • you should make more vids like this.

  • hey man? you ever find any fishing lures? if so i'll buy them off you?

  • where in lake erie is this vedio

  • The shots in this quick video where taken at various places in the Western Basin of Lake Erie, mostly around the Ohio islands (Bass Islands, Kelleys Island, nearby). These are from dozens of dives, just a few of the more interesting clips I have.

  • Hey dave.... well its dave right? its jacob...

  • Hey dave. Nice video =)

  • We just recently caught a few Lake Erie water snakes and marinated them, then barbecued them! The meat is delicious!

  • Uh, I hope you're kidding. You do know they're endangered, right?

  • uggh your gross

  • This is really cool footage, it is as good or better than the ROVs that Stone Lab has.

By the way, I love the water snakes, I caught one the other day and brought it to the fish room on Stone Lab where they keep untagged water snakes, it was pretty cool.

  • Put-In-Bay doesn't have the most clean water in the world. O_o *Watches drunken people throw trash into it*

  • Yeah, that always made me really sad when I'd go to Put-In-Bay to take the tours every year. Its like non-stop drunkfest. But its still nice if you stay away from the bars!

  • Great footage. I can't get enough of freshwater footage. Especially great lakes!

  • Look for more Lake Erie Underwater Video coming soon...

  • Neato. I'm glad someone put up a watersnake on Youtube, they're really cool to see in person.

  • Yes, they are fun to watch when they are active. I've seen one in the water eating a goby.

The video I have is the only known underwater video of a Lake Erie Watersnake. I hope to get more this season, but it's a hit-or-miss proposition that takes a lot of time & patience.

Look for more Lake Erie underwater videos coming this spring & summer.

  • thats why gobbies are aliens in Minnesota waters they eat eggs.....

  • Just hope they don't find their way up yonder to Minnesota, don't ya know...

Just out of curiosity, what was your interest in viewing the video?

    West

    P.S. I'm a hockey referee.
