Can you program an EA to check the trend at a higher time frame as part of the rules of entering or exiting a trade? For example, say I was creating an EA to trade EU/US on the 5 minute time frame. I use a few indicators for trend momentum and such, but before entry I want to make sure I am only entering trades that match the trend in the 15 and or 30 minute charts. Maybe we define trend at the higher timeframe as a SMA lindicator at least a certain degree of incline or decline. Doable?
