  • How much for a normal or spider

  • your pewter is very ugly

  • @people1998100 - Thanks! ;)

  • how long should i keep the snake with u her eggs

  • @DAGECKOS101 - I remove the eggs as soon as I see that the female has completely finished laying. It's always good to look and feel the females belly afterward just to make sure there aren't any eggs left.

  • How or where did you get your incubator?

  • @DavidBlandinii - I made it myself out of an old wine cooler and flexwatt. There are tutorials on the net just do a google search!

  • @BallPythons9 Thank you very much, another question, do you sell your snakes? And if so, do you have people that buy them? How much you sell each?

  • @DavidBlandinii - Yes I sell the hatchlings that I do not need to keep for holdbacks. I have people that buy them and pricing is variable depending on the morph :)

  • The reason they like the cooler side and to wrap on the water bowl is because the follicle/egg development needs cooled temps. That's why you drop the temps slightly. It's less stress on your animals as well.

  • Stop breeding mutations for fux sake!!!

  • @armandin2048 Why??

  • @armandin2048 - These 'mutations' are only mutations of the color and pattern. These snakes live perfectly happy, healthy lives and behave just the same as a "normal" snake. It's the same as different types of dogs (black and yellow labs, etc. )

  • how do you know if they won't kill each other when u but them together?

  • i meant put them together

  • Thank you a lot! I think I found out the perfect hobby!

  • hey were do you get de incubator? and how mach do you pay for it?

  • i actually met the people who wrote that book it was awsome... but they mainly had blood pythons at their booth

  • Do u have to start breeding the exact dates or can u do it when ever u want?

  • @UFCFIGHTER832 - Pretty much whenever although I generally start around Oct-Nov.

  • how pld do they have to be

  • How many degrees to incubate

  • @tygunther1 87-89

  • @BallPythons9 do you breed any other types of snakes and where do you sell the baby pythons to?

  • @MathewsBowHunter2011 - I currently only breed BP's and sell to other breeders. Check my newest vid for available snakes.

  • How much money do u make?

  • @9025skyman - Enough to support my hobby myself but I'd rather not say numbers. ;)

  • @9025skyman if you have enough snakes you can make a living off it just think u get two of the same snake say u get a 5000$ snake and another 5000$ snake u breed them you get like 30 eggs in 2-3 months you can make 150,000 in 3 months so and you can do that 4 times a year 4x150000 600,000$ a year just for 2 5000$ snakes just think if you had a store full of 5000$ snakes

  • @TheUSAHaxor one thing their has never been 1 ball python thats has laid 30 eggs in one clutch that python would have to be like 12,000 grams which ball pythons really get the biggest at 5,000 and you need people to buy the 5000$ snakes and if you got 2 of the same snakes say a pastel to a pastel you would make supers which cost more

  • @bowincklenrj he said snakes not ball pythons..lol, I did laugh after reading his post.

  • @mgoblue7431 hes on a ball python video im sure he meant ball pythons

  • @bowincklenrj you know what they say about assuming..

  • I have a pair of breeder ball pythons they bred last year but still nothing as of rite now whats up

  • do you ever find they become aggressive when they are put together, either with you or each other? or when they lay do you have trouble getting the eggs away from the females?

  • @dandantheminiman - No there isn't usually any aggression when pairing although the females are defensive of their eggs. I have tried to get a video but it is too difficult with one hand. The best way to do it is just slowly lift them off from behind and then once they are off the eggs they usually return to normal.

  • @BallPythons9

iv got a baby female lesser which one in years to come i can breed out. im doing well in the past 2months iv been bitten 3 times by balls. once by mine and twice by my mates. im trying to not let it put me off.

  • why is your water bowl so small... do the snakes fit in it???

  • @creepingout - No they don't need to fit in it because I mist them down whenever they are going into shed and my snakes don't have mites.

  • what ,morph is that female thats gravid?

  • @tyharp21 - Which one?

  • hey i need to know how many days do you keep them together

  • @jbreptiles1 - If I see a lock then I separate them as soon as they are done. If not then it's about 3-4 days. After that they are separated and get fed/watered.

  • hi i really need a step by step guide of breeding royals ASAP

  • @88joeysmith ballpythons.ca/gallery/breeding.html

  • @BallPythons9 - add h ttp://

  • @BallPythons9 All the ball pythons in the tubs.Im about to breed my male spider and my pastel. But I will need a place to put the snakes that hatch do they not need the lamps that I have on my 55 gallon tanks? do I just need to regulate the temperature with a thermostat?

  • @IHMAIWTD69 - You will need small individual cages/tubs for each hatchling. A rack would be your best option. Try animal plastics. And yes you will need a thermostat on your heat tape.

  • @BallPythons9 Thanks

  • i have kept my male and female ball pythons in a 40 gallon tall there whole life and just found out there genders... will they breed considering they have been together there whole life.or should i seperate them. they are 2 years old. plz respond

    msg or something

  • @jacobfare12 - I would separate them mostly because at 2 yrs. the female may try to breed but is most likely too small and could die if she tries to pass eggs.

  • i have kept my male and female ball pythons in a 40 gallon tall there whole life and just found out there genders... will they breed considering they have been together there whole life.or should i seperate them. they are 2 years old

  • how much did you spend all together? like in total

  • @OneSimpleHacker - Honestly I don't even know, I just try to invest what I can into the nicest animals I can afford.

  • alright thanks bro

  • @OneSimpleHacker - No problem.

  • how much did you purchase at first?

  • @OneSimpleHacker - For me it started with a single pet normal female and from there I purchased a few snakes a year and kept a few that I produced each year. What you buy or how many you buy depends on how much money you have to spend, what you like for morphs, and how serious you are about this hobby. If you are serious you will want to go for the higher end animals, but if it is just a side project for fun than a couple snakes that you find interesting will do.

  • please reply... how the hell did you get your hands on all of those pythons?

  • @OneSimpleHacker - I purchased some and hatched some myself.

  • when do you first put the male in november or december?

  • @ericsardinas1 never mind i noticed you said it in the vid!

  • how did u figure out exactly what temp. to set for the eggs and the snakes?

  • very good information for beginers of breeding ball pythons

  • can u just leave the eggs wth the mom

  • @Wolftent561 - You could but I prefer to separate them so I can get the female back on food and the eggs have a much higher hatch rate in an incubator.

  • That comment below that said how did you convince your parents , its true 1st one is usually hardest but I didn't go through that lol I just bought nd let my mom deal with it lol but she was okay now I own 2 since I just sold 2 of my snakes today but its easier to get another one if I wanted to :) hope to breed mine when they get older

  • how big are those tubs in the vid? where did u get that rack?

  • @kmsalty400 - The tubs in my adult rack are a little wider and taller than a 41 quart and it is a freedom breeder rack. My other racks are from animal plastics.

  • How successful are you in breeding with your techniques? Whats your egg and hatch count normally?

  • @wygydude - This year I had 4/5 females go. One is currently gravid and the other 3 laid a combined total of 20 fertile eggs (all of which hatched) and 1 infertile egg. I am now using lower temps of 80 on the cool side and 85 max on the hot side. For breeding (and possibly in general) I may switch to an 80-82 ambient only temps and then 89 degree hotspot only for gravid females.

  • @BallPythons9 Ok thanks i might breed =)

  • where did you get the incubator?

  • @mickel44554455 - I made it. It's basically a wine cooler with the cooling mechanisms removed, then I put flexwatt heat tape in the back, and it is controlled by a herpstat thermostat. That's basically it.

  • hey do you do this by yourself or with a garding having all the snake

    s

  • @knifelover94 - My parents help with some things but I am the only one caring for / breeding the snakes.

  • @BallPythons9 and how did you convince your parent s to have all these and pay for all of it

  • @knifelover94 - Not quite sure how I convinced them really. Just prove you are educated and responsible. It is hardest for them to let you get the first one and then once they see how cool snakes actually are the rest are easier. Sometimes if I don't have quite enough money for something myself they will help me out but I always pay them back eventually. Your parents will be more likely to let you have snakes if you pay for them yourself.

  • So I could try to breed anyday of the year? Or should I wait 'til November? Thanks !

  • @BlubbReptiles - Technically you can breed anytime but it depends more on when the female is ready. There is really no set season because not all the females decide to start developing as soon as it hits November. lol I start in October and my last female just ovulated a few days ago.

  • So you don't drop temps? Should I put the male and female together for about 4 days, then remove the male from the female to rest for about 4 days also? Is there any risk that the snakes will get angry at each other, or do they accept each other from the beginning? Good vid, thanks !

  • @BlubbReptiles - No I don't drop temps and it is working great. I usually put them together until I see a lock, then I separate them once they are done breeding. If I don't see a lock then I leave them together for a max 3-4 days in case they breed at night or just need more time. After that I give them at least 3 days to rest but it is normally longer and you don't have to breed them every week.

  • @BlubbReptiles - I guess there is a chance that they wouldn't like each other but if so then they most likely would just not breed. It would be VERY rare if it lead to aggression. Normally if they don't breed it is just because the timing is a bit off or one of the snakes (usually the female) is just not ready at that time.

  • @MrMw2quickscopezz - You mean like the substrate? I use perlite with light grate over it. Just search on youtube or google how to set up an egg box.

  • I like your set up. your "enclosures" for the snakes aren't to big to take up a bunch of space but you give them enough space to roam unlike some others that I've seen that are barely small enough for the snakes to move. I bet your snakes are happy

  • @Senex321 or barely big enough i ment

  • @Senex321 - Thanks, I like to give them a bit of room, it also allows for a better temp gradient. The snakes have more choices so they are happy.

  • How big are ur females when you breed them like the smallest weight? Im gona breed ive done boas im doing pythons now bps and i wana know i hear 1250 grams and 1500 grams how big do u breed them at?

  • @soltaylor2156 - I prefer to wait until at least 1500 grams, but I have bred females at around 1350. With smaller females you really have to know your snakes and read their signs. If they have the age, they're going off feed, wrapping their bowls, etc. then sometimes it means they want to breed. Also throwing a male in can sometimes get them back on feed or boost their appetites so that they will be 1500+ grams by the time they lay. The main thing is just be careful and do what is right for them

  • where do u bye urs at

  • @leopardgecko829 - From other breeders.

  • are u seling any for cheap

  • @leopardgecko829 - No, the ones I have now are more expensive.

  • doo i feed them when thy come outt of the eggs

  • @leopardgecko829 - You can but I usually wait until after they shed and then offer a live fuzzy or hopper mouse.

  • how long does it take for them to shed

  • @leopardgecko829 - About a week.

  • what do you do when u cut the eggs leave them in the incubator or take them out of the incubatr and when do u cut the eggs

  • @leopardgecko829 - I cut the eggs once the first one pips or on day 55. I leave them in the incubator until all the babies are out, then I wash them off and put them in a tub in the rack on damp paper towels. I also give them a small water dish. Once they have shed I separate them into individual tubs with dry paper towels as bedding.

  • beautiful snakes were can i buy them?

  • @megapatch80 - Ball Pythons in general or mine?

  • @BallPythons9 just pythons in genral like a good place were you can get some for a low price?

  • @megapatch80 - It is usually best to buy from a breeder as they will be able to give you the highest quality animal and the proper info on keeping them.

  • try a fire with a fire and you could probably turn up a black eyed leusistic ball python.

  • hey can u tell me where u got them shelfs from i wanna get some but i have no idea where to get them

  • @deadinsideemo1 - They are basically called "snake racks" and there are a variety of places to get them or you can build your own. I like animal plastics, ARS, freedom breeder, and there are many other good racks.

  • you can but its not good for the snake if you go smaller then that. you dont get much eggs and the eggs are much smaller. and you have a chance of the babies to die.

  • @thesunsetreptiles - The size of the male does not affect the number or fertility of the eggs as long as the male is mature enough to produce viable sperm. Most of that depends on the female. I have bred males at 500 grams with no problems at all. Now should a first time breeder do this, maybe not, but as long as you keep an eye on the animal and really know what you are doing then 500 grams is more than a safe weight. I know a few people who have successfully bred males at 350 grams.

  • i wouldnt breed a male at 500 grams that is still to small.

  • @thesunsetreptiles - Everyone has there own opinion, but I believe this is ok as long as you keep an eye on them. I know people who have bred them much smaller.....

  • @mulkerrins28 - No, she may not go this year, but we'll see what happens.

  • When ever u get a chance it's all good

  • very nice vid on beautiful ball pythons

  • Nice video! Do you have a video that shows how your incubator looks?

  • @ILUVREPTILES1 - Thanks! I briefly show it in a few, but I can try to make a more detailed vid on it when I get a chance.

  • great video mate, can you do an update with the eggs hatching if possible?

very informative and great setup. :)

  • @atothej2009 - Thanks! I will try to do videos on all of my hatchlings this year. These are due the beginning of April.

  • Wow thats a big Ball Python clutch!! How much does the mother weigh?

Great video by the way! So when do the females begin developing these 'folicles'? Like do they begin that when they first begin breeding, or before that? Are folicles what makes males want to breed?

  • @rephibiankid - Mom was 4000+ grams before she laid. They begin developing at different rates, usually once you start to breed/introduce males, but sometimes before. It just depends on the female really and can be totally random sometimes. Follicles grow throughout the season until the female ovulates. At that point they are fertilized and become eggs which grow until they are laid. Males will generally breed any female who lets them, but often females with larger follicles are more receptive.

  • awesome, awesome vid i didnt cool mine this year just to try it it seems good but i been wondering how you do it thats awesome they all look great and i hope all five get you a clutch

  • @ReptiBreeder102 - Thanks, good luck to you!

  • Great video, I do reduce temps myself prior to breeding but I do know of other breeders that don't drop the temps at all and they seem to have equal success.

  • wow so you don't cool them at all?! how has ur breeding rate been?

  • @94madmike - My ambient temps drop a few degrees, but other than that no. So far 3 out of 5 females have ovulated. 1 has laid 10 fertile eggs and the other 2 are still breeding so it seems to be going fine!

  • @BallPythons9 very nice!

  • great vid best of luck!!
