  • how can I color the T-rex later on, to animate it in 3DS MAX?

  • how do you move up. I know how to rotate but not how to move up

  • @snoof888 to pan press shift+middle mouse(scroll wheel)

  • Does this guy use a drawing pad or just the mouse?

  • I cant get the same, precise, sculpting as you do. For instance i cant make eyes. It doesnt matter how small size or the amount of strength i use, it just looks like shit.

  • Thank You! I love my T-Rex!

I'm using Mudbox 2012 and the "Bulge" tool seems the same as sculpt.

  • Very good tutorial thx :D

  • When I load any mesh, like the T. Rex, nothing shows up. The program acts as if it's there (as far as I can tell) but nothing shows up--there's no 3D image. What must I do?

  • On my computer, the object shows up as just a black outline. Can anyone please help me out with this? I'm sure my computer is lacking something, I just don't know what.

  • great tutorials =)

  • fuck that is actually so easy to learn :o

  • Isn't it nice when tutorilas are actaully HELPFUL? Like this one! :)

  • Thank you very much for this it's helping me amazingly, I got one problem though, I accidently switched the stamp on the knife tool, how do I get it back?

  • A really good tutorial. Well spoken, clearly articulated.

    Loved it!

  • Which one is better overall. Zbrush? Or mudbox?

  • @Domzdream I'm learning the 30 day trial version of mudbox right now and i have used zbrush too.Mudbox looks a lot easier for beginners a bit like photoshop in 3d, you can make something decent in a few hours.

Its a great softwere alternative to Zbrush and i hope we ll see a lot new feautures in the future because dont forget Mudbox is relativly new compared to zbrush.

  • @ParanormalEnities

Fair enough. Good luck with that in any case.

  • I can't get how he moves the camera so easly. I followed the previous tutorial but it wasn't mentioned, i can only move the figure but not the camera.

What should i do to control my camera with the mouse?

  • @Margalus89 Alt+middle button on your mouse is to move the screen and Alt+right button to rotate. lol im not sure if thats what you were asking though XD

  • @gerritian sorry for the uber late reply but..yes, that's exactly what i was looking for and that helped! Thanks :)

  • Ummm... Whenever i used the sculpt and tried to do the eyes, the lines were either really HUGE or not noticeable no matter how i edited the values of the Sculpt tool...

  • I learned more from this tutorial in 5 minutes then any other mudbox tutorial out there that take HOURS :|

  • This is the program that god used to create us!

  • @backwillis haha yeah

  • Sorry I have a very VERY noob question... Ven I was going to chose a material from "material preset" y accidentally erase one of them, pressing the center button. A "+" sign appeared instead of the mouse, and the material dissapeared... how could I use the first configuration and interface of mudbox? Or, at least, how could I recover those lost preset material?.. Thanks

  • I used these tools (Sculp, knife, bulge etc) but for some reason no matter how much I adjust them the effect allways seems to be too big (rather big bulges etc), no fine cuts like you're doing here, what am I doing wrong?

  • @sttate he is probably using a wacom tablet, they are pressure sensitive, so if you push lightly you will get a smaller bulge or whatever
