  • I have been building a machine for several months now.Its almost identical in concept to yours only mine has bigger 200lb neos and 6 coils on each of the two rotors your comments on coil length only 60ft and choice of trans have made me reconsider my choices, could you please help with the part num of best trans for the job BD243C was the ones I picked but you seem to favor 160v mine were only 100v also is 19AWG good for the coils ? Your advice would be greatly valued

    many thanks

  • How many circuits will your motor have? this one is 24 with 18awg? wire. the transistors are high speed switching NPN chips rated at 160V, they are surplus chips you need to spec out what is available get a few samples from your suppler then build a test motor with one coil use small clips to attach each chip rate there performance, and make your decision based on the outcome ,always test one of your coils cores first and pick a chip ,Good luck

  • When I run at 38V on my solid state setup, the neons are worthless. My transistors fry every time if the charge battery is removed.

  • yep neon's are worthless. and a waste of energy I noticed 36v is more efficient than 12v I hope to find a step down transformer at 24-36V I plan to put 30farrad 13.5V cap bank on the output with a way to switch it for conditioning, but this controller works great ! you never know until you try,

  • Same here when I am running my SSG Bedini Motor at 12 V.
