Why in htis particular episode did they pronounce the last name Heebeekee, in all the others they pronounce it Habiki? (I know, it's spelled Hibiki)

Most american dubbers of anime don't treat good anime-series with the respect it deserves and just choose halfass voices for the characters. People who have little to no experience in voice-acting.

I have seen animes with good dub, like Princess Mononoke and the new AKIRA- dub, but it's very rare that anime have good dub.

WRONG!!!! most dubs use experienced voice actors. Where do you get your facts? Ocean group's actors have done a lot of voice work you have no idea what you're talking about.

It doesn't matter how much acticng you have done. If you don't SOUND like you are an experienced actor, you could just as well be a nobody. The fact still stands that a lot of anime-dubbers sounds like total noobs, which makes the dub shit.

the main reason is they try to sound like the japanese counterpart. (most north american voices tend to be deeper especially female vocies. take jubilee from x-men then take orihime from bleach . jubilee's characterw as 13 and orihime was like waht 16? 17? yet jubilee sounded much older.

Ranma was the first anime I ever watched, and some of the lousy voice acting is what made me prefer subs to dubs. Ryoga's voice is great, but Ranma sounds lifeless and Akane's voice grates.
