  • Actually, curl of a vector is a vector. So, (Nx-My) needs a multiplier component k, unit vector in the z direction. But since it'll be 1D, and we're talking about curl=0, this will do.

  • I'm a student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and I really need to give props to the folks who thought up MIT open courseware, nothing more valuable than having different brilliant people explain things in their own way, it is priceless to get the perspectives of both my professors and the professors at MIT.
