I did a playthrough of the final zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 1. I was in Scrap Brain Zone 3 and was running out of air. I kept pressing down to re-enact Sonic smashing his face into the floor. Luckily the air bubble came out at literally the last second.

@Abcormal lol its both, because when youre running out of air under water 2 things happen. your lungs and trachea will start to hurt from the lack of oxygen, your lungs shrivel up because they cant inflate without it. second it fills up with water
