  • A not so brilliant move? Are you kidding me? Good decision on her part. 1) She never confirmed with CPAC in the first place. 2) Democrats in Alaska observe her every move, when she goes out of state, they tend to make a huge, dramatic deal.

  • "A spokesperson didn't give a reason other than to say it would be hard for the governor to attend during a legislative session." Hmmm. Sounds like a reason to me!

They criticize her for this. If she had attended & left her state hanging, they would criticize her for that. I can hear it now... "Oh what a horrible governor. She left her state at a critical time to go promote herself at CPAC." Face it, no matter what she does, the libs will find fault with it!

Sarah is tops in my book!

  • CNN Lies again.

Palin never committed to CPAC, so how can you pull out if you were never slated to go in the first place. CPAC knew back in November 2008 that She would not be there

  • I am Rush *GOP Messiah* Limbaugh, & I want Obama and our country to FAIL! Liberals who criticize Bush during his admin are anti-American, anti-patriotic & must have their CDs burned. Criticizing Obama is patriotic, b/c America must FAIL! Trust me, for I am thrice divorced, convicted drug addict (oxycontin) & pedophile (29 Viagra pills on pre-teen tour in Dominican Republic). Republican politicians must not criticize me otherwise they will end up apologizing to the GOP Messiah soon.

  • "She proved to the world how unqualifed "

While we get to watch...EVERY DAY... how unqualified 0bama is.

  • I was at CPAC with 8500 other people and didn't hear anyone say they felt snubbed. In fact there was a real love fest for her there. We gave a reception in her honor and all of her friendas and supporters attended. She had work to do in Alaska and I think its good that she stayed there to fulfill her responsibilities.

  • I was there as well and I didn't hear one bad thing about her. There were several booths there as well practically praising her so I really don't see why the media is taking it the wrong way. Oh well.

  • I dont think that matters that Sarah Palin did not attending the CPAC. When 2012 arrives, she is going to be the Hillary Clinton of the republican party. She is going to open up with a 20 point lead over all the candidates including Huckabee, Romney, and Jindal.

  • yes, a 20 point lead... then lose it all the first time she speaks.

  • God, I hope so! Please, please Sarah, run in 2012! The Republican clown parade just isn't the same without you as the head buffoon. I need more of your folksy nuggets of home-spun wisdom, like "I can see Russia from Alaska" or "What does a VP do?" Bobby "Kenneth the Page" Jindal's recent Howdy-Doody speech and Joe the Plumber's "book" tour are all but temporary diversions.

  • @FranklyMisterShankly wait ,you forgot that Obamas is weak because he wont start a war with Iran.

  • Gov Palin was working with Samartian Purse to deliver food to rural native Alaskan villages this past week and that is probably one of the reasons she did not attend the CPAC meeting. It is funny how the media does not report on that.

  • Comment removed

  • im sure democrat liberals will never stop shaming her!

  • Why didn't they talk about Jindal like that? Palin has already rubbed elbows with the bigwigs. She attended the Alfafa dinner. She doesn't need to be in the presence of Conservative extremist. Plus, she knows what her priorities are. Alaska needs her now. She can attend another CPAC later on. Geez, CNN.

  • lol! 'alaska needs her now'

i would never watch the crecent/communist news network anyhow

  • I meant to say 'Alaska needs her right now' b/c the volcano is due to blow up, the Natives are crying out for help & she's getting picked apart by her political enemies up there. It was just a smart move to not attend NGA & CPAC. If she attended CPAC, but not NGA, she'd get grilled for that. If she attended NGA but not CPAC she'd get grilled by Conservatives. If she attended both, she'd be gone for a week and get grilled for that too. Darn if she does, darn if she doesn't.

  • CNN's concern over Sarah Palin's future is touching indeed.

  • I agree. They're still having fun taking shots at her. Don't they realize how stupid they look?

  • CNN, figures. Palin never committed to CPAC, so how can you pull out if you were never slated to go. CPAC knew back in November 2008 that She would not be there.

  • Who said she's planning to run for president?
