  • could u do maidenhead to marlow its really scary please

  • "Probably km/h because it's a very European game". This game is based in England. We use imperial distance here.

  • 2 SPOOKY

  • I wouldn't recommend going to from 0-100% on the power handle.

  • just a tip, when it says go via ..... it means go through and dont stop

  • I like train sim 2012 cos i like trains but by the look of this add on activerty pack I'm not oing to bother with is + you have to pay for it, i'm not going to wast my money on it

  • you don't know what AWS is?

  • @macbookprofan90 Automatic Warning System, Wikipedia it :)

  • @robertmbishop i said YOU don't know what AWS is, i already know what it is, have done for years and years. it sounded like you said in the video "what is that beeping..."

  • @macbookprofan90 Ok, I read your comment too quickly, my mistake, Anyway, why would a pair of Americans know what AWS is?

  • why didn't you turn the headlights on?

  • it is MPH not KM/H

  • I heard about this, and thought it was a joke. I watched this and I'm like, what the fuck?

  • ... when I saw the title of this I was expecting something much more entertaining.

  • what type of trains do you get in this one

  • I'm suprised there aren't any raging comments about your references to speed or distance as kilometres. In Britain we use miles because fuck the metric system! Except when it comes to mm,cm,m,ml,cl,L

  • the beep is for the signal ahead e.g bell = green and horn = yellow/red

  • Very entertaining review, but some commentary on this.

-You could improve some of the visibility by Turning on the Headlights (By pressing "H"). I can say, lighting should be much improved (and certainly better than on the Maszyna EU07-424 Sim (which is really hardcore).)

-This route in particular is set in the UK, where mph is still used (like the US, they're still taking a while to get everything into metric.)

  • I was going to sleep when I opened this video...

Then I just sat there watching without moving a hair...

    now I'm not even tired...

  • looks very interesting

  • haha there are two locos on the class 166. you're never going backwards :P

  • Intersting vid mate, by the way its MPH not KPH, we use MPH over here in the UK, plus never put the throttle in 100% when u start off, especially if u drive a real locomotive, :)

  • @EWS60500 u beat me to it man :P i was gunna say that!

  • @benyb96 haha! sorry mate

  • Something as simple as putting people on tracks to run over would make this dlc 100000000x better..

  • First of your videos I have watched.

Very good commentary. Not very good gameplay from what I have seen.

Can you recommend a good program that simulates making and operating a model train layout?

  • @ORCA4312 Train simulators, in general, are made for a special breed of person. Since you're looking for a model train layout simulator I would think you're of the same cloth. ;)

Unfortunately, I don't know of any program that both simulates and lets you operate a model layout. I'd be interested in this. There is a program that helps you engineer and plan a real layout that isn't a game, it's a utility called AnyRail or RightTrack.

  • @ORCA4312 There's also a XBLA Indie Game called Train Frontier Express that's worth the $2 they want for it.

  • whats sad is I downloaded TS2012 the other day and I actually had fun playing it lol.

  • @OggOrbisMedia Oh, trust me, I love the game.

  • @dark. I couldn't agree with you more

  • Just as I feared.

While people don't want to admit it, the Zombie genre is being way overused. Eventually the audience for it will be burnt out and move on to something else.

  • Those black markers on the map on the side of the track are mile markers.

  • @DANIELHANDLEY1000 Thanks!

  • 11:43 True, but if you start out at a low setting with the throttle, and ease it up, it accelerates much faster. I've learned that from playing around on this game.

  • @SuperBanana121 Hmph. I'll have to try that next time I play. Thanks!

  • Is there a free demo?

  • @Antthecool1 Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be one.

  • UK uses miles. UK TV seems to use kilometres - which is stupid as I recognise Miles and always have.

  • the " beep " is the AWS or automatic warning system that corrisponds with a magnet in the middle of the two rails , a beep indicates a clear green signal, a yeelow or red signal will sound an alarm that if you do not hit the AWS reset button the brakes will apply as per real life practice

  • @hihat101 Gotcha, thanks!

  • MPH :)

  • @toommpm :)

  • its 5$ on steam

  • Who in their might mind would buy a game then pay about $1000 on DLC? I mean... What the flying F??? Yeah I like train games but would never pay that much like come on they CLEARLYY want your money more and more

  • RAILWORKS 3 IS NOT $2000.00!!!! ITS ABOUT $40.00 BECAUSE ITS NEW

  • @Edricthecool222 The comment is taking into account the tons of DLC the game has to offer.

  • @Edricthecool222 When you add up all the available DLC it's well over $1500 for everything. Obviously the game isn't $2000.

  • @PerpetualGeekMachine That's what Torrents are for

  • You should have reviewed the 'Off The Rails' Scenario. You get to fly!!!!!!

  • its not an electric its a dmu which means Deisel multiple unit

  • i think you will find the game is developed in chatam uk.

  • just got this DLC

  • You guys have great sounding voices. Nice job!

  • I vote disconnecting all the cars but the engine and screwing them over

  • "That doesn't scream nerd at all" (playing a train simulator)

  • "This train's easy to drive because it's an electric train..." he says, over the howl of the diesel engines. :)

  • ugh my work is on trains i can't believe i'm watching a video game simulation..it feels so fake

  • @George32027 Seriously, totally jealous that you work on trains.

  • @PerpetualGeekMachine uh, i've just come back from my shift, pretty tired. i'd give all my shift to you for a bit of relax, lol :)

  • @PerpetualGeekMachine I looked at it on amazon and walmart and its only $40.00 And when I bought Railworks 2 I got a FREE upgrade to Railworks 3 2012

  • First the speedometer is in MPH, and this game is now owned by an american company.

  • @UraeusAnkhAmon Thanks for the corrections! I should do a little more fact-checking before spouting off.

  • might be owned by an american company but developed in the u.k

  • @jonnyd901 Was developed in the U.K., all new dlc and additions after Railworks 2 are from the US.

  • great, this should make a movie about this. how exciting

  • @NastyStickyToes they*

  • @NastyStickyToes *Not sure if serious* ;)
