It was actually a great meeting between Maâllem Abderahmane Kiruche, known as Paca, for years associated with legendary group, Nass El Ghiwane, from which the tune was taken. Paca has been seriously ill for some years now, and doesn't play anymore, but his son has a band, and Jbara has been involved in many projects since. Very good stuff from a great year at Essaouira. Many of the musicians also played with Mustapha Baqbou's group.

Santana est un des mielleurs, mais Eric Clapton est encore mieux, et aussi le guitarist des Beatles George Harrison. Mais cet homme ici est aussi tres bon, je pense qu'il est le meilleur guitarist Marocain. Go on. I LOVE GNAWA!!!!

Il serait peut être temps que tu t'essayes à Allan holdsworth, John McLaughlin, Shawn Lane et quelques autres pour te rendre compte que les patrons, en guitare, on te les montre pas au 20h de TF1... McLaughlin donnait des cours à Santana et Jimmy Page et à refusé une fortune de Clapton qui voulait qui voulait en prendre chez lui. De toutes façons, ça aurait servi à rien
