  • talk to me Lindsey

  • Fleetwood Mac IS Lindsey Buckingham, Christine McVie, Stevie Nicks, John McVie, and Mick Fleetwood. Plain and simple, Fleetwood Mac is Fleetwood Mac.

  • Fleetwood Mac IS Lindsey Buckingham, Christine McVie, Stevie Nicks, John McVie, and Mick Fleetwood. Plain and simple, Fleetwood Mac is Fleetwood Mac.

  • Okay...Ok...the Fleetwood Mac we all were privileged to hear on the radio would be nothing without Stevie and nothing without Lindsey. Even though Stevie had the better solo career I think Lindsey was the artistic genius.

  • I have to disagree with all those people who claim Stevie Nicks IS Fleetwood Mac. To me Lindsey Buckingham is the most talented person of post-Peter Green Fleetwood Mac. A talented composer, a wizard on electric and acoustic guitars and more than occasionally a very gifted singer too - maybe he hasn't the best voice in the world, but as an interpreter I think his abilities are way beyond Stevie Nick's. Nicks is a good composer, but apart from her tambourining hardly an instrumentalist at all.

  • maybe his best song? too hard to say...; )

  • Fantastic song.

  • is there an instrument Christine cannot play?

  • Awesome video, awesome song. One of the Mac's most under appreciated songs. A must see video for any true Mac fan or for that matter any one who enjoys extraordinary music!

  • beautiful song!

  • Well, they could have been like the Eagles and have Stevie pretending to play the guitar.

  • Can i just add this should have made it onto the 1980 live album, actually they should release a whole album of live tracks from Tusk I'd buy it!

  • @chazlightyearsahead ..me too

  • I love this i can watch this over and over again, I would like this exact version as an mp3 the harmonies are just beautiful!

  • @chazlightyear

go on google and put in; video 2 mp3 . net

it wil convert it for free :)

  • wow, christine playing guitar! his voice sounds incredible in this, he and chris always have the greatest collaborations vocally.

  • Wow this sounds even better live. Lindsey has such a beautiful voice.. and he's freaking gorgeous!

Although I never looked at this song as being aimed towards Stevie, your analysis of it and the lyrics of the song actually make me see the song in a different way. I must admit that after reading Carol's book (I know, I know she plays the victim role well) I had just assumed Lindsey wrote it for her, but I now see that it may have been written for Stevie instead..

    Thanks for posting!

  • Beautiful. Thank you for posting.

  • i love chris playing the guitar

  • Lindsay is a babe!

  • anyone know how to play this? tab it out, please!? ah<3

  • Who is Carol Ann ??

  • His girlfriend during the time. Carol Ann Harris-I believe.

I do believe this song was about Stevie.

  • This song is about Carol Ann actually.

Lindsey's studio for the Tusk album was basically various rooms throughout the house that he and Carol had in L.A. He was always in the studio and he would tell her to "save me a place" on the couch/bed/table/whatever for when he was done recording for the day and could spend time with her.

  • Carol Ann Harris

  • Was a Model... Lindsey's Girlfriend for about 5 years

  • She was not a model! She was a wanna B actress whose only leading role was in Lindsey's life! A tumultuous role at best thanks to her ability to run her mouth with vicious rumors & intimate details of life with Lindsey! The ability to light a matchstick and ignite Lindsey's gas-fuel temper hammered with violent rages & physical attacks! But she is a model of her own self image & proclamation of a fairytale wanna be author! Thru the eyes of a biased, tainted air-brain that has no talent at all!

  • mayamgk0220 you're so right she use their song and their faces for her pathetic partially fiction tale. People like that are disgusting and just want to make some more money. It seems this "victim" is the only one mistreated in this relationship yes Mr. buckingham can get a temper the only time I heard him go after someone was at Ms. stevie only after she lunged at him. she is just the only one poor her.

  • @mayamgk0220 Like her or not, she's had a WAY more successful career than Lindsey, and it used to drive him crazy. Maybe it still does, but she IS Fleetwood Mac for many many people.

  • @AppleCorp3....I am not talking about Stevie, the discussion was about and on Lindsey Buckinghams Ex-Girlfriend Carol Ann Harris who wrote the tell all relationship while touring with Fleetwood Mac....It was not a bash on Stevie. And I agree with you 100% Stevie is Fleetwood Mac, tho without Lindsey's touch and gifts he jsut made the music more illusive, magical, mysterious and syphisticated!

  • @mayamgk0220 Ha - I guess it applies to both of 'em. I've read countless times that no one knew how to push LB's buttons like Stevie - a quick listen to his stuff on Tusk proves that! WIth her though I think it's more competitive than with Carol Ann Harris. WIth CAH it was a bit more personal and self-serving. At least she inspired a pretty darn good album ("Go Insane") which is my favorite. Without Lindsey, it wouldn't be the same for sure.

  • This song makes my eyes swell with tears. Such a simple yet deep song.

  • IS CAROL ANN THE GIRL HE MARRIED?

  • No, I believe Carol Ann and him lived together-ONLY.

He married Kristen Messner in '98.

  • Their three voices blending so beautifully together is like heaven.

  • I def agree Tusk is their best album despite it not being their commercially best. It's my favorite album of all music

  • Sounds like Lindsey had been listening to The Band's 'I Shall Be Released'.

  • Oh yeah, It sounds a lot like that !

  • In my opinion, Fleetwood Mac is at its best when harmony of its 3 vocalists (Christine, Lindsey, and Stevie) are on display. "Save Me a Place" is a hidden gem from the Tusk album. Songs like "Farmer's Daughter," "Why" and "Silver Springs" lift the audience's feelings to a nearness of a "high power." FM's harmonies make them a "special" band. Thanks again Flaming Crystal.

  • Absolutely, it's the 3 voices combined that make the unique harmony....Come back Chris!!!!!

  • even though the harmonies on the studio version of 'Save Me A Place' I think are entirely Lindsey's voice over and over, layered. But yeah, this live performance has some terrific harmonies from Lindsey, Stevie and Chris.

  • fuck me fuck hmmmmmmmmmmmm go chris

  • I Knew someone would have this video!!! yayy For Chris!.. Greeat song:D

  • Such an AMAZING version of this one ! I'd never heard of Christine McVie playing the guitar.

  • love this version. prefer this live version to the studio version. thankfully i have this version on a cd.

  • I'd save him a place in a heartbeat!

  • I didn't know this existed! I didn't know Christine Mc Vie played the guitar!

  • Beautiful!!!

  • F, GM7, C7, F

    Pretty simple stuff, but nice

  • what chords is he playing?

  • Christine McVie.. on a guitar? Madness!

  • I love this song!

  • awesome! christine mcvie on acoustic guitar! never seen it... never in my fleetwood mac life, since 1977! incredible!

  • amazing! thanks so much for posting!
