Thank you very much! These are great and helpful tips! I am in a BSNExpress program and any little time management tip is so appreciated!...especially from someone who seems to be so organized as yourself :) Thank you for sharing!! :)
I am hoping to start LPN school next fall. Watching this vid seems sooo overwhelming! LOL. Do you have a pretty good idea of what all needs to be done in clinicals before you get there? Or is it learn as you go?
I keep hearing horror stories about med-surg about the reading and how everything you learned is condensed to one! nd also about clinicals...from what you have said in the your vid you sound pretty busy! I take med-surg next semester and I am pretty scared and nervous, any tips for studying?
@KeziahCNAtoLPNtoADN I am in TX, too. Yes we did. I tried to start my first IV last week but it didn't take. Exciting but scary. I think my LVN program is one of the few that teaches LVN students to start IVs but I'm not 100% sure on that.
Thanks for posting this video about med/surg clinicals, Heather! I'm a little nervous about doing these in particular and this helps a lot! =] Good luck finishing this summer!
You are AWESOME! Great video!

What does LVN stand for ? lol i probably should know but i dont, I am in a BSN program but is LVN like LPN?
fya4you 7 months ago
@fya4you LVN stands for Licensed Vocational Nurse. This title is used in Texas and California while most other states use LPN.

Hey heather what state are you in where they allow you to push meds?... I guess the first question should be are you in the LVN program or the RN?
KeziahCNAtoLPNtoADN 7 months ago
@KeziahCNAtoLPNtoADN Hi, we are not allowed to push IV meds as LVN students. We flush IVs and do primary and IVPB meds but we do not push any. :)

@heatherheartsnursing Thanks Heather! I am in Tx. Did they teach you how to start IVs too?

@chrissy4777 it's level 3 so it's the third semester. it's not technically a 'year' or anything
heatherheartsnursing 7 months ago

@krissy14845 Me too Krissy! Its nice to have a break but another part of me misses the insanity! 2 more semester till graduation! You too?
sclyons34 7 months ago
@krissy14845 LVN portion is 18 months. Aug 2010 - Dec 2011
heatherheartsnursing 7 months ago
Do you have summer semesters every summer you're in school?
chrissy4777 7 months ago
@chrissy4777 No, just for the LVN portion. I can during RN but I wouldn't graduate any faster so I'm definitely going to take them off!
