I'm new to DT. So far I've been jumping around the albums, listening to various songs. I've listened to about 15 of their songs so far. And so far, I have to say that I think that James LaBrie's performance in "Voices" is by far his most powerful. Second would be him hitting the high note in "Octavarium."

This has to be one of the most underrated albums in prog/metal history...i often hear even DT fans say this album is where they got off the wagon...hell, for me, DT just keeps getting more and more intense and skilled. And everyone freaked out when Portnoy took a leave..these men have been working non-stop on this project for over 20 years now, releasing albums allllll the time, unlike a band like Tool whos great and all but they are lazy when it comes to releases. DT is a beast!

One of the best DT songs ever. I've done my share of LaBrie-bashing, but his voice is terrific here (esp. in Voices). Had he not been forced to battle vocal-cord damage for years, he would have likely grown into a world-class singer. This song, I think, proves it.
