  • you are god.

  • @goblue8593 - if you saw my current planted freshwater tank right now, you wouldn't think so.. haha

  • R those lights just regular fixtures with led bulbs? How many watts each bulb? 120volts right What ever info u can give me on the lighting I guess for now. To start. Check out my tank Leopazzoinyourmouth That's my channel 75 gallon salt water coral tank Like buddy said Pimped out Great job
  • @Leopazzoinyourmouth - they're nanocustoms [dot] com par LED bulbs. I can't remember the specs right now, take a look online. My guess was around 12W each. I remember them being 20k colour, and around 60 degree optics. They screw into a regular light socket, yep.

  • Pimp

  • that is a nice looking tank!

  • how much do you think it cost in total?

  • really beautiful, the only thing that i dont like about it, is that there is no sand in it!! it would look much more natural if you had sand in it

  • hey you have a thread on this? or anywhere i can go to see more details? thanks

  • @Gnawnivek - no tank thread - sorry. Any questions on it, feel free to ask.

  • @digitallyblue ok thanks!

    1) I see you are using par38 or a similar LED bulb, how have your experiences been with it in terms of coral growth and algae? Are the two different, it looks like one is 20k and the other 12k.

    2) looks like you have a simple overflow through a drilled bulkhead in the rear panel of your ADA. Did you drill it yourself, and was there no problem? I see your return is goes over the tank and i assume that's to minimize the amount of holes.

  • @Gnawnivek

    1) Both were 20k. The optics were pretty wide... lots of spillage. Coral growth was good, but a lot of algae growth too.

    2) Yes i drilled through the ADA, although people said its tempered and would explode - it didn't. I believe the bottom side is tempered on some models though. Yeah i never found a good solution for a return. Was thinking of using some ADA glasswork, but it wouldn't work in my scenario - the angle coming out of the wall wouldn't work out.

  • @digitallyblue 3) how mature is the tank? and were all the corals frags when they were put in, or are they from another tank?

    4) how's bare bottom treated you? how often do you siphon out the crap that gets accumulated in the non turbulent zones?

    5) What's your maintenance schedule like? (water changes, dosing, testing, cleaning, etc.)

  • @Gnawnivek -

    3) at the time of this video, the tank was 1 yr old. I had just gotten into SPS. The dendro and birds nest were frags to start, and grew to about fist sized.

    4) bare bottom was cool. i siphoned out leftover junk weekly (part of my water change).

    5) maintenance was weekly water changes (~15%, no dosing, no testing after 4 months). Always used RO water. Scraping the glass was done every 3 days - had a lot of algae growth.

  • ReefBuilders just featured your tank. Congrats!

  • @BlueWorldAquariums - Woah, sweet. Thanks for helping me get there blueworld!

  • SURLY THIS WAS NEVER TAKEN WITH A IPHONE4!!!!! its to good ahha

  • Just 2 words.... Well done!!!

  • one word. sexy.

  • Considering its filmed on a phone, that quality is amazing!!

  • what does ADA mean?

  • @ricomike Aqua Desing Amano (Takashi Amano) the creator of this rimless/clear glass tank

  • IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL TANK

  • Great looking tank! I also have a 60f with 2 par 38's. How did you hang the lights? Where can I find wires and sockets like you have? Do you have a link?

    Thanks!

  • looks really good! Check out my 6 gallon Nano, Eclipse, I "liked" yours

  • Where did you order? How much was it with shipping to Canada?

  • @the55gal - sorry, I can't take a video of the sump/fuge. I've shut this tank down a few months ago.

  • @digitallyblue why? So young

  • can you make a video of your 5 gallon sump, and 9 gallon refugium, i'm making a 10 gallon reed tank and i want to get an idea on how to make one

  • im already convinced my tank will never look like this tank.

  • @shmoga - thanks. Its my second attempt at a tank - nothing too special about it... just clean design. Its now been shut down for about 4 months - i decided to travel and am now living abroad for a while.

  • im already convinced my tank will never look like this tank.

  • what are the specs of this tank? great n beautiful fishtank!

  • @seselapaz - its an ADA 60-F tank - i bought it online and shipped to Canada. If i remember right, its around 8.5 gallons. Powerhead is a vortech mp10,, lights are nanocustoms LED spotlights @ 20k, 60 degree optics I think? Plumbing goes through the wall behind it, with a 5 gallon sump, and 9 gallon refugium with 6000k lighting, on a reverse cycle.

  • Is video made me buy iPhone 4 lol

  • Awesome man...!!

  • How do you like the lights, and where is the return.

  • @BooTang1000 - the return is hanging over the top middle of the tank, it comes out of the wall. The lights are good, although I think too blue. They're 20,000k, but seem more blue than I've seen of other 20k setups.

  • Wow that is so cool

  • AMAZING!! CONGRATS!
