@QtipRocketLauncher I agree. They are nerfing the series thanks to complaints by anti-violence idiots. I still remember the days when you had to complete your journey without the help of basically everyone in the game, and your rivals actually wanted to squash you.
Not because he's a bad guy or his pokemon suck, no...but he LOST to N which is your rival and not only that he lacks of a genuine PKMN attire to at least make him look like a champion; However, due to the circumtances and developing stuff he looks like someone the Pokemon league found in an alley and tell him to become champion...

Alder. Easist Champion of all the gens. Although I gotta give Nintendo Credit, a lot of people overlook the bug type and pass right by them, but they had the champion have a party of mostly bug type. Sure, they were horribly weak, but it's still an original idea...but seriously, Aaron (first elite four in D/P/Plat) was a harder challenge!

Unova is a failed region, black and white are failed game, and Alder is a failed champion. Deal with it and accept the fact that you wasted your money on a washback game, I can't wait for the R&S remakes to come out, a GOOD Pokemon game again. Till then, keep playing in the only region not based on a Japanese location that has Pokemon made by a white guy.

I actually really like Unova, hehe. I really loved the games, and I have definitely not wasted my $35. The music was pretty, and most of the Pokemon I loved.
I really want the R/S remakes, too. They were my first games.
I'm pretty sure Pokemon is made by Japanese people. As American as Unova is, it's still made by Asian people.
@JenniferTotodile R/S were my first games too and I'm really pumped about their re-makes (it's the whole reason I got s 3DS for christmas ^_^) But no a lot of the Unova pokemon were thought up by and inspired by a white dude. Ken Sugimori has the rights to them all but a white dude made them. Honestly the game has nice graphics but beyond that it's nothing to me, glad you liked your 35$ spent, I would never buy it.

I don't really like the gen 1 Pokemon because of their simplicity and how they make people think Pokemon's all about animals, when it's not Pocket Animals, but Pocket Monsters. I mean.. a pile of goo? A mole? A POKEBALL?

@TTKChristo Really? I actually loved Unova. Alder does kinda suck as a champion, though I loved him as an actual character in the story more. Black and White are wonderful games that added more emotion and didn't have the ENTIRE base of only "catching them all" and becoming the "very best like no one ever was", and it took some simplicity away from Pokemon, which I admire. I believe it has the best story out of all the games, but some of the Pokemon were...not good. Ahum...Garbodor.

Personally I like the simplicity of Pokemon, it's meant to be all about catching them all but, maybe I was a little too harsh on some people here. @TTKChristo There was hardly a story in Red, and Gold was a little better, but stories really didn't come into the picture as significant until Hoenn. I love Red and Gold, but Black and White are deep. Pokemon had been the same for quite awhile, and still kinda is, but Black and White turned it around. Let's face it: we love the oldies mostly because we remember playing them when we were children, when we barely had any cares or worries.

@JenniferTotodile It's true because there can only be one black person in Pokemon history which is that gym leader inside the library. If Alder was black then all hell would break loose and Pokemon would be no more all because there was more than one black person in Pokemon.
People says the theme doesn't fit really well in the battle againtst him, but let's just think of it for a second: Some time before Alder was a trainer who only wanted to become the strongest one in the world. After his first pokemon died, his point of view about life changed drastically, and decided to travel aimlessly. This theme represents what Alder learnt through the bad way, everyone should battle just for fun, not only for power. One should battle with the pokemon they want, and enjoy it
It's hard to believe that this is a champion's theme. It's not nearly as epic or climatic as the others, it's more like the normal battle themes. It's still pretty good, just not as fitting.
People need to remember Alder was designed to be beaten specifically by N, who became the Champion, that's how the rules go.. so In turn when you defeat N you technically are the Champion, In previous games, the game would end, then we could perform the secondary quests XYz.. BUT! N's castle interrupts us where the game usually comes to a close. Thus we Have to fight the Elite 4 again and then Alder! It's A fresh way to go! Good Job Pokemon Company!
i hope you people realize that the champion Alder is much more involved with the environment of Unova. As such, and regarding @SuperFanFiction , his Pokemon set needed to be more "casual" than epic. Plus he is not a dick >_<
@Yuizele Yeah, He proved to be pretty laid back when he pretty much broke down pokemon to Cherrin on their way to driftveil city. I liked him, People say he's weak and his theme sucks, but I knew he was going to loose because i could see where the story ark was going. It was meant for us to beat N and later Ghetsis. He really was a worthy hero, but this storyline seems like it was fate that only we could battle N.
@bryancorolla It doesn't need broken pokemon(*cough* Garchomp *cough*) to be a champion. Alder combines the role as a champion with being a major figure in the whole Unova region, also being implemented more into the whole B/W storyline. People just ignore it. He is probably my favourite Pokemon League Champion.
@Yuizele Right, I feel like Garchomp is over rated, and so is Lucario... I feel like Smogdon and Serebii.net have made people more concerned about having strong pokemon than having fun... I crushed Cynthia's beloved Garchomp with my Golduck, which doesn't get the best reviews based on the aforementioned two, but his Ice beam k'od Garchomp w/o STAB because he's doubly week to Ice.. Garchomp is in my book #overrated..
@bryancorolla Lucario being overrated.. hmm never heard of it. Me personally, i prefer doing Anime-oriented teams, such as replicating Blue's team in 2nd generation or doing a Steven-oriented team for 3rd generation. Or just one Type focused(e.g. Water, which i am working on atm.). Makes you recognize alot mroe Pokemon. For me, it brought me Azumarill. I really started to like Azumarill more, its underappreciated. It does a really good tank for the storylines and can pack a bit of a punch(dive)
@Yuizele I've always wanted to create teams of one type.. but I'm scared.. I guess it is a good tactic.. most teams are made to work against several types.. not one so I guess I could wall them.. for instance with your water team, a Swampert could stand up to on electric threat or maybe a gyrados could stand up to a grass threat.. then It's fair game against all others. Alder was a nice character. But I prefer Champions to have the "you're screwed, son" aura around them. I hope the next Champion is also the leader of the criminal organization. Double trouble, all in the strongest trainer in that side of the world, that'd be real. Alder is just too soft.
Aww guys. :c I think you are way too hard on the 5th generation. Every Pokemon game was special in its own way, and I'd have to say that this generation has one of the best stories by far and the region itself is soooo huge and there is so much more to discover than in past ones. Ya know I grew up with the first poke;mon gen ever and when I bought White I played it for a bit and didn't like it but then I decided to replay it and give it a chance and I LOVE IT! The first forms of the Poke'mon are mehh but when they evolve they have the most badd evolutions out of all the generations!
@SIFAssassin I think the point of the game was to ask the question, not so much to give the answer. After all, you DO become the most powerful trainer in Unova and that still is a goal of the game. If anything, I think it's saying, "don't be power-hungry, but always strive to become stronger."
A "badass pokemon" that would be in the top of the metagame if there were no Stealth Rock. Even with that, this "bug pokemon" is pretty higly used, and a huge threat. Quiver dance is possibly the scariest set-up move out there, too. Only beaten by D Dance.
And, if you're going to say that him running a bug Pokemon is lame, I swept Lance with a BUG POKEMON. Not EV trained, not nature hunted, or anything. Other champions are a walk in the park.

Yeah, it's a friendly battle, but Pokemon used to make me feel like the fight was incredibly intense and that I HAD to win, no matter what.

Black and White are wonderful games that added more emotion and didn't have the ENTIRE base of only "catching them all" and becoming the "very best like no one ever was", and it took some simplicity away from Pokemon, which I admire. I believe it has the best story out of all the games, but some of the Pokemon were...not good. Ahum...Garbodor.

Personally I like the simplicity of Pokemon, it's meant to be all about catching them all but, maybe I was a little too harsh on some people here. If you guys liked the game then power to ya I guess, besides graphics the game has nothing to me. :S

@TTKChristo There was hardly a story in Red, and Gold was a little better, but stories really didn't come into the picture as significant until Hoenn. I love Red and Gold, but Black and White are deep. Pokemon had been the same for quite awhile, and still kinda is, but Black and White turned it around. Let's face it: we love the oldies mostly because we remember playing them when we were children, when we barely had any cares or worries.

@YukiUzumaki78 That's true, nostalgia does play in. But I also read the manga recently now that I know that they exist and honestly Red's battles were just bad ass and so were Gold's. Red was the strongest champion and Gold beat him. Their battle at Mt. SIlver just can't be matched IMO.

People says the theme doesn't fit really well in the battle againtst him, but let's just think of it for a second: Some time before Alder was a trainer who only wanted to become the strongest one in the world. After his first pokemon died, his point of view about life changed drastically, and decided to travel aimlessly. This theme represents what Alder learnt through the bad way, everyone should battle just for fun, not only for power. One should battle with the pokemon they want, and enjoy it

It's hard to believe that this is a champion's theme. It's not nearly as epic or climatic as the others, it's more like the normal battle themes. It's still pretty good, just not as fitting.

People need to remember Alder was designed to be beaten specifically by N, who became the Champion, that's how the rules go.. so In turn when you defeat N you technically are the Champion, In previous games, the game would end, then we could perform the secondary quests XYz.. BUT! N's castle interrupts us where the game usually comes to a close. Thus we Have to fight the Elite 4 again and then Alder! It's A fresh way to go! Good Job Pokemon Company!

@Yuizele Yeah, He proved to be pretty laid back when he pretty much broke down pokemon to Cherrin on their way to driftveil city. I liked him, People say he's weak and his theme sucks, but I knew he was going to loose because i could see where the story ark was going. It was meant for us to beat N and later Ghetsis. He really was a worthy hero, but this storyline seems like it was fate that only we could battle N.

@bryancorolla It doesn't need broken pokemon(*cough* Garchomp *cough*) to be a champion. Alder combines the role as a champion with being a major figure in the whole Unova region, also being implemented more into the whole B/W storyline. People just ignore it. He is probably my favourite Pokemon League Champion.

@Yuizele Right, I feel like Garchomp is over rated, and so is Lucario... I feel like Smogdon and Serebii.net have made people more concerned about having strong pokemon than having fun... I crushed Cynthia's beloved Garchomp with my Golduck, which doesn't get the best reviews based on the aforementioned two, but his Ice beam k'od Garchomp w/o STAB because he's doubly week to Ice.. Garchomp is in my book #overrated..

@bryancorolla Lucario being overrated.. hmm never heard of it. Me personally, i prefer doing Anime-oriented teams, such as replicating Blue's team in 2nd generation or doing a Steven-oriented team for 3rd generation. Or just one Type focused(e.g. Water, which i am working on atm.). Makes you recognize alot mroe Pokemon. For me, it brought me Azumarill. I really started to like Azumarill more, its underappreciated. It does a really good tank for the storylines and can pack a bit of a punch(dive)

I guess it is a good tactic.. most teams are made to work against several types.. not one so I guess I could wall them.. for instance with your water team, a Swampert could stand up to on electric threat or maybe a gyrados could stand up to a grass threat.. then It's fair game against all others. Hmm.. I may just have to restart all of my games. You've really opened my eyes. Do you have twitter???

Alder was a nice character. But I prefer Champions to have the "you're screwed, son" aura around them. I hope the next Champion is also the leader of the criminal organization. Double trouble, all in the strongest trainer in that side of the world, that'd be real. Alder is just too soft.

Every Pokemon game was special in its own way, and I'd have to say that this generation has one of the best stories by far and the region itself is soooo huge and there is so much more to discover than in past ones. Ya know I grew up with the first poke;mon gen ever and when I bought White I played it for a bit and didn't like it but then I decided to replay it and give it a chance and I LOVE IT! Ahaha, not a "bug pokemon."
A "badass pokemon" that would be in the top of the metagame if there were no Stealth Rock. Even with that, this "bug pokemon" is pretty higly used, and a huge threat. Quiver dance is possibly the scariest set-up move out there, too. Only beaten by D Dance.
And, if you're going to say that him running a bug Pokemon is lame, I swept Lance with a BUG POKEMON. Not EV trained, not nature hunted, or anything. Other champions are a walk in the park.
