@flashbang101st .....In the Grumman Goose from the pilot seat view looking strait ahead, move your view strait-up to the cabin ceiling. The up-down switch for the wingtip floats is there.

try Real Envirenment Xtreme and run the game on ultra high. before i had REX i had it on ultra high and graphics were shitty.... but now its better ;D

apparently u should pull back on the controls after touching water to keep the front of your floats high so they dont catch a wave and flip you over. right up to when

you stop skimming the water and settle into floating.

You can do this in FS9 aswell. But some water is not good enough to land on. So not as realistic as being able to land on any water, as in FSX.

So the "had to have" Vista and DX10 for the best FSX experience is buggy? I am not shocked, its been reported that many things don't work with DX10, FSX wise.

I run on Vista 64 bit and that is just fine, but the DX10 issues are really bad like flashing runway textures and overlay issues with terrain, plus sometimes the aircraft will look fuzzy.

Well, I decided to stick with FS9 under DX9, becuase it has more free addons, other than repaints, and in order to even try FSX in DX10, you need Vista, now I have had Vista Home Premium 32bit, I could use 64bit, but never really thought about it, on my computer here and there, but I like XP more, Vista to me is more eye candy as well, like FSX is to FS2004.

Your not supposed to have them done for taking off or landing, just for maneuvering to the correct positions.

Yea, maybe its just a preference thing. There is a float plane at a lake that I go to about once a year with a float plane and he has the rudders up to takeoff and landing.

i recommend that you do the tuturial missions they cover at least the basics like flaps taking off landing jets and helicopters there are more advanced things but u can find those in the lessons center or here on youtube
