Mike's passion is in performing live, you can see it in his and all the rest of the performers.
Listening to the cd's of his music after listening to the live performances makes them seem so sterile and lacking and passion in comparison.
I do have & did listen to the cds when traveling, my truck now has a Marantz sound system with usb hook up so I can play the HQ mp4 audio from the live concerts, Fn AWESOME to travel too.
Just sat through all six segments of this, and I am speechless. Perfection. Beyond superlative description. Amazing. Really, I am spellbound. I used to have "Tubular Bells" and "Tubular Bells 2," but didn't think a live rendition of "2" like this would be as spectacular as it is. Really, this is outstanding.
Well you BASTARD! Cut the end of the concert short! The "FIREWORK" display at the end was fantastic! A grand fanali to a perfect performance. Yes, I WAS THERE.
@Stickletickle Indeed it is. It just has a lot more life to it, even though the album is very good. Note the semitone key-change for "Tattoo" because the bagpipes at Edinburgh were playing in E flat, not in D as on the album and OMG the key-change works extremely well!
@alanpadg1960 Well, Blardy fuckin blar. Did you also notice a couple of "BUM" notes? They should have done it in "G" instead of "F" or an "A" instead of "E" Stop analyzing the music, just enjoy it!!

Glad he didn't end with the the hoe-down (the only mistake on the original album). Should have had the bagpipes at the end too. They were great.
