I did it by using a combination of reverb and a high "release" value, and filtering (cutting) the sound away. All synth sounds are made using basic FL Studio VST's like WASP and the 3xOSC. Normally I use many advanced VST's in my tracks but with this electro song only the basic ones did a great job.
