The authorities could actually be protecting you from something. You might have caught something on tape that you didn't see with your eyes. It could of been like if you watched the tape you would die in 7 days unless you got someone else to watch the tape. And they may of been following you also to see what you were up to.

I think the realism of the story makes it scary. Like, a story about a huge monster coming out on Halloween night isn't scary because it sounds fake, the scariest part of this story is that it could very well happen.

What I am about to say is 100% true I went there last weekend around 9 ish in a car and the car starts to bog down it has never done that before then it shuts off and wouldn't start for a sec I liked back and I think I saw someone standing under he bridge then it start and we were gone in 2 secs idk who or what it was but it was scary

There are 3 or 4 military bases near there and at one they did then and still do today study the criminaly insane. Some say way back in the 50's -70's they experimented on people and Lorton prison did house the criminaly insane.....my best friends father worked there after he retired from the army......maybe something went wrong....it is a scary place to drive at night....when I was 16 something ran in front of my car causing me to run off the road and flip over...1976

I grew up In alexandria, dont know about the bridge story being true there was a real nutcase terrorizing teens parked in rual areas there and he wore a Bunny outfit, never killed anyone scared the hell out of people most never contacted police he was never caught,took place 70-72

the police guard the bridge on halloween night. some friends and i went one halloween, hoping to test the legend (and fate) but the police - 3 or 4 police cars in all - turned us around. we found another entrance to the railroad down the road, but the girls in our group got nervous as we neared the bridge (and the police who had told us to turn around. they figured they could arrest us for trespassing if they saw us up on the tracks.)

I think the realism of the story makes it scary. Like, a story about a huge monster coming out on Halloween night isn't scary because it sounds fake, the scariest part of this story is that it could very well happen.
