@pricelessppp the raw vid is made on Ubuntu Linux and edited on Apple iMovie app. Apple MacOS X runs on a BSD Unix. Similar, but not the same as Linux at core.
@pricelessppp yes, iMovie / FCP (both have cool effects) can import a lot of videoformats. If that doesn't help, there's various video file converters.
I need a small help... to move the head i have to press and hold the spacebar right? so is there any way i can move my head without pressing and holding the spacebar? thnx
@XPGlowWorm yes i know that dude.... but to do that i have to press and hold Space Bar... i want move my head without pressing and hold... cause its so annoying..
@dilshan1994 I press Control-O and mouse the mouse. I don't use any other methods to look around in cockpit view. Spacebar doesn't do anything on my setup.
Nice Vid nd Graphics ! Great PC u've got there. How much FPS do u get with all sliders to the max in cities like San Francisco or Los Angeles ? Also what is your graphics settings by the way in this Video? Thanks !!
With all setting to the max. I'm getting 30 to 60. The buildings in LA are very hard on the performance of X-Plane. So in general I leave them at default - I fly in forest/mountain areas mostly. That gives me 150+ FPS @ 3840x1200. The video was originally recorded at 1920x1200, then processed into 720 format. BTW, Final Frontier or Inside Passage are nice scenery add-ons. Meanwhile collecting ideas for next vid. ;-)
Same too Glowy, I prefer credits/notes at the start, so the viewer knows the context/details. This is one of those classic early XP vids, a masterpiece. See my vid reply, the one I tried to post to C74 net before encountering 'problems'. Hope you enjoy.
Thx brah, I thought the song title was catchy as well as enjoying the feeling of freedom of the actual song while zooming through the clouds along the blue sky on a warm summer day above Sydney.
Thanks - it's been a challenge. So many diff video formats out there. While flying the sequence I was so busy looking at the scenery and how it would look on video, that I totally missed the stall horn. :-) Next time I need a real camera dude while I fly.

ummm... credits before the video??? wtf?
lamefilms 2 years ago
yeah, i find giving credits first more important than my actual video. Those folks actually made it possible for me to create the video.
