Each person holds the gun differently. Its all about the results and this is what is what works for her. If you have the chance, watch the Shooter McGee video and notice the kick on the .357 she shoots and compare it to what TheGreatKnife did above. The recoil on TheGreatKnife video is next to none while the Shooter McGee video has more noticable recoil. I have been shown this method and this method works very well. When trying this method, my shooting improved greatly.

You're holding the gun wrong. In fact, that is the weirdest hold I have ever seen. Your "weak" hand should not be under the gun. It should be wrapped around your shooting hand. I hope your dad didn't teach you that.

your grip is awkward. if you let a .44 magnum go holding it like that, it would break your palm on your left hand. its best to grab your right hand with your left hand. sort of reinforcing it.
with a .357 it wont be that bad. shoot a large frame like a .44 or a .454 and you would regret it
