  • I just finished Blue Latitudes. I'm ready for a trip to Tahiti after reading it, even though he and Roger didn't find it all that exotic. Great book.

  • This guy is one of the best writers we have right now.

  • Tony did write a good book, however a lot of his ethos seems to be based on how history is far to clean in the text books never showing the bloody disgusting mess it was and how we abandoned the poor victims of the New World from our writtings.

  • this book sucks dick

  • I read A Voyage Long and Strange, and it totally puts American history into perspective. Tony's books are so funny!! He meets total strangers and has a beer with them. Then he talks them into showing him their town. Right now I'm reading Confederates in the Attic. I checked it out at my local library. Southeast Regional Library, Garner, NC.

  • I would gladly finance this wimpy traitor's trip into North Korea to make a documentary about the foolishness of Kim Jong Il's history. I would love to see how arrogant this NY asshole is when Kim and crew "question" him about why he is making fun of their history!!

  • Great book. Our "Guys Book Club" loved it. I recommend another of his "participatory history" books, Blue Latitudes.

  • My favorite book I read this summer...I really recommend it. Funny and haunting and very, very educational (in the best sense). Please read.

  • "Participatory History" - this book is amazing and as fun to read as it is informative.

  • Excellent book!
