@msnickalasha I know I'm super late! But when one gets weak, you combine and then cut one off so you don't break the hair off.

im bout to start my locs but it's funny how nobody really knows how to start them
so it might take me longer to find the right person

You can start with:
Comb twists- Where they coil the hair using a comb(this was method) but your hair has to be all natural, and curlier textures work better.
Braids- Plaits all over your head.
Sisterlocs- You have to go to a certified "technician"
Freeform- just don't comb your hair.
Semi-Freeform- if you have very short hair, you can start brushing in circles and little "beads" will form and you can start hand-twisting them.
There's probably more, hope this helps!
