What an awesome video, thank you. Had tears in my eyes, missing home and Daughtry go well together. Haven't been home in 13 years so you definitely made the homesickness kick in.
Zimbabwe is the only country in the world who did not vote for sanctions against Yugoslavia in 1992. We are forever grateful for that. Country Serbia and Serbian people are always with you. Lived Zimbabwe!
I'm a Malaysian born Indian and my girl is from Zim. We've both been in Australia for most our lives and we're planning to head over to Zimbabwe at the end of this year. Thank you for your video, I can't wait to visit. If your country is as beautiful as every Zimbabwean person and family that I've met, then I know I'll have a fantastic time!
@willieliberty&MissJay1305 is nice to be guest but home is always the best!
Zimbabwe: West Must Remove Sanctions - coz the inclusive Government has the potential to foster Zimbabwe's development, but for this to succeed, the West must immediately lift all illegal sanctions on the Great Mutapa Empire of Zim
@53Africa I watched this video and I am a ex Zimbabwean. Very ex I was 9 when we left. I loved it as I started seeing buildings I remember. Thank you miss Jay. Last of all lets stop using words like black and white
@ihateusernames302 the brits didn`t built that modern City dear friend the brits left that country in 1980 after Independence ,so there is no way this modern city could have been built by the brits. We all here know the most corrupt place on earth don`t lie to yourself.
What a fucking piece of dogshit this despot is. An example of one the most decadent despots the world has ever known. This fukwit changed one of of the most beautiful countries on earth into one of the most deprived places on earth. This evil sewer rat has murdered hundreds of his own people, let alone the whites that remained in Southern Rhodesia (I do not accept Zimbabwe). When this old fucker kicks the bucket, hell won't even admit him, he's so fucking evil
MissJay1305 the last time I flew into Zimbabwe was in an Air Rhodesia Viscount airliner as we spiralled down into Salisbury Airfield blacked out due to the threat of SAM 7 missile attacks...god how I wish your country will become a jewel of Africa once again!
Hello, I´m from Brazil and I´m reading a book written by a Brazilian journalist. He travelled across some southeastern countries of Africa, like Zimbabwe, and he was talking about Harare.. So, I decided to take a look at this town thru the youtube. It seems to be a very well organized city! I really liked that! No traffic jam! Some very nice buildings... congratulations and a big hug from Brazil!
@JohnRhysMusician hi there,i believe that's your opinion; chances are its part based on the western govt's rhetoric spewed out through the biased media texts. Maybe your definition of Failure and how it came about about would be a good start to this promisingly civilized conversation.
@improbsbaked i dont blame u coz thts wht the media u rely on tells u. Politics is defined by propaganda and using the media to tarnish the image of any enemy country. I wld urge u, if u can, to visit countires n see for yoself wht othr countries r like. Thts the whole reason behind those guys who spend their time and money touring several countries...They get first hand info rather than distorted info tht comes thru the media. Zim is very beautiful n serene, beliv u me, u shld visit
@improbsbaked what a nescient rational, im surprised you didnt youtube mogadishu or kabul, where the crime rate is zero, free for all health service & ied free zone. yoh source is the eiu, an american org- a country well known for gud judgement, impartiality, best healthcare and debt free.a medium like utube is meant to enlighten information challenged persons like u, who thrive on co-op bs.research then maybe every1 on here will take you seriously. btw its Zimbabwe not rhodesia.
@MissJay1305 ehh i heard they stopped trash pick up services in certain parts, and the government is Corrupt? I don't see the appeal, Please change my mind.
@SuperTinock.. i kno what you mean, i will in my next videos. i just cldnt get a local song that cld describe my feelings. suggestions for next time please: i off to zimbabwe in november.
@MissJay1305 i suggest u put in such songs as the one by Bonnie Deuschle & Henry Olonga, tht goes something lk... 'this land our land is our Zmbabwe our land of peace for u & me.... once born in pain 7& in segregation bt nw we live in harmony....nw flies our flag our nations glory...blaa blaa blaa'
Thank so muchfor posting this video. Its makes me emotional sincehavent been home for 16years. The drive down Julias Nyerere is brings back memories when I used to walk the same street as a young man.
@frombelair because ummmm its called the "media" first of all, and second of all its called the "western media" the media shows all the exciting bad stuff...they don't show the peaceful stuff xD
@imhossein - you r welcome. dnt worry bout being a lil behind when u go home, going online on your mobile or laptop is 3x cheaper than in most developed countries, 5* restaurants and accomodation, zim is good.
shoot if I was a native from there living somewhere like europe or US id be scraping cash together and wait for administration change cause a lil bit of real money will go a long way there and the country will need smart daring capitalistic entrepreneurs to help get the economy moving again. Those with vision could probably change that place into a wealthy, free and great nation.
This is really beautiful place MissJay. My man is from Harare and he want to take me there one day. I bet it will be even more incredible to see with my own eyes.. Fantastic vid.
These videos brought tears to my eyes Miss jay1305, i miss home so very much and have been away for 11 years now. I hope to visit soon. It's still a beautiful country.
@trustjnr , the song is Lose contro-Timbaland feat jojo. if you ONLY look @ zim on a political perspective then u wont go back to visit. but once u get on the ground, among the people, the nature, the food & amazing beauty that surrounds you, you will get a new meaning.
@MissJay1305 It might be safe for you to go back because you're black and you speak shona. But for those whites and indians who grew up in zim, things arent the same for us. We have to pay bribes at the airport, when walk in the street, people look at us funny. I think it's safer for us to stay in the UK/aus and just reminisce about the good old days, instead of actually going back.
@BabaZonge That sounds like a case of walking a mile on someone else's shoes. Look at all the crap black people have and still do go through in the US.
@BabaZonge A very unfortunate misconception and generalization my friend. I was in Zimbabwe last month to attend the Harare International Festival of Arts and NONE of things you claim here happened to me. Zimbabweans of all races are as pleasant as ever, whites mingle freely with blacks, I did my shopping at Arundel village and Borrowdale Brook where almost all whites in Harare are now congregated and not a single one of them (who actually live there by the way) expressed any fears. LIAR!

I cant wait to visit and eventually move to Zimbabwe! Im a black man presently residing in the united snakes of amerikkka and have never been to the soil of my holy forefathers and foremothers. WHen i repatriate i know i will feel the spiritual connection that was lost to all of us diaspora blacks.
Oh how i miss my home :'( Everytime i go back, i wish i could just stay there, and never leave, its such a beautiful place. I have to go there at least once a year, otherwise there feels like there has been a huge whole torn out of my heart. Thanks for sharing, its really appreciated.
