Replacing pop culture with christian pop culture means you are still a slave to pop culture. Ask yourself why BattleCry has to use the same marketing company as Disney, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. They need the kids. Just like any other corporation. This is not rebellion.
You bring up a very good point, one that i myself have also ask about Battle Cry. I think there are two issues, 1. Is the way in which we market the youth of today moral? 2. Is what we market to the youth moral? Both questions are good ones to ask. I think battle cry is not so worried about the way the youth is targeted in the marketing place (although i have my own concerns), But rather what they are being marketed with. Drugs, Sex, Money, Power, and the pursuit there of.
You are totally correct and I agree. But the bigger issue I have then is why do the founders of Battlecry feel the need to lie and deceive kids about the intents of their own organization? Why can't they let the message stand on it's own? They say it is not a political organization, but why are they staging demonstrations at political buildings? There are a ton of things Ron Luce is deceitful about and I just want kids to not get suckered into something because of a slick commercial.

Yes, I agree, it is not about the targeting, it is about what the targeting is trying to convince today's youth to do.
