Matt Frewer was/is crazier than Jim Carrey ever fucking DREAMED of being. I remember when Max Headroom first came on, before full-blown CGI was even invented, and people actually thought he WAS a computer-generated animation. Nope. Just Matt Frewer with plastic hair and a plastic suit, and a hell of a lot of video and sound editing. Fucking brilliant, tho. What stuns me is that MH was a British series that crossed the Atlantic, and Frewer got paid TWICE for the same act. act.

I remember the contest with coke. It was a very hot summer day about 98 degrees and I was a kid felt like i was dying of thirst. I managed to find the last 50 cents i could laying around and walked about 10 blocks to our local hardware store to grab a coke out of the machine only to have a messed up looking can drop out that after opening it realized it was a damn Max shirt.
