He only left last month and has now been replaced by Danny Goffey, former drummer of Supergrass. Seb still makes some guest appearances apparently. If Seb's not who you're thinking of then you're getting mixed up with Gary Powell who drums for The Libertines and did for Dirty Pretty Things. :-)
