Good debate. But while most people would want renew-ables, the current state of development is really poor in that area. There is a dire need for esoteric technologies such as OverUnity/ZeroPoint systems to add more continuous energy supply to our increasing needs. There should be smaller distributed solutions coupled with Smart-Grids to manage the energy usage. Our problem to date has been single monopolistic energy supplier that lacks innovation incentive.
This Dr. Arjun Makhijani clearly has ulterior motives(money) and is clearly more concerned with his own written word than with common sense. He is ultimately trying to detract from the REAL issue which is protecting our planet for ourselves and future generations. When scientists around the world agree that climate change is an immediate concern, how will his futuristic perfect fix help us FIFTY YEARS from now when it may be too late?
