Jack nailed it. That stuff is haunting. From the first time I heard hellhounds on my trail.....haunted.......Maybe we will see times as low again, no? For our children's sake hopefully not!
I bet I could tell you what happened to Jack here cause the same thing happened to me lol. He struck a chord and his knuckles struck the bridge XD Hurts like hell!
@olliedabomb999 It is a triple jet it has a double cutaway and three pickups also it's not actually built by gretsch, It's built by randy parson, so has completely different wiring and sound, As does the copper triple jet.
Much like those before him in the 60s and 70s hard rock scene he is right on the money with his feeling and being over the top. Its clear where his roots are, and if we only had more listening and tuning into the real feel of music history and that which makes the soul come alive.
I once played guitar and i started bleeding. But when your into the soul of the music and the feeling of the strings sliding through your fingers, you don't even notice till you come back from that Psychological state.
@94cona Actually, he had it modified by a professional luthier. But yes, it was still his concept and design. If any of you haven't watch this entire documentary. It's on Netflix instant watch right now if you have that.
Everyone's saying ooh he cut open his fingers but it wouldn't have hurt because he's so in the moment. Granted - but it would hurt like a freakin bitch the next day. Just like a ballerina on their toes/en pointe - it would actually really, really hurt especially once the moment was over!
My hand's bled while playing guitar before. I understand what it's like. You IN the music, you can't feel anything else. That's how many people escape, from whatever it is they're escaping from. For some, it's all we have.
@kraker109 the pain of wat...a pin prick? i mean no disrespect to mr. white and im thinkin about takin back wat ive said after seeing the end of the video
@kraker109 no he didnt...he simply used the pain as fuel...a guitarist like me hears that lick, and understands that as "FUUUUCCCKKKK MY HAANNNNNNNDDD!!!!!"
Hot tuna did a nice cover of death dont have no mercy..But now I'm older and have a new rock and roll boyfriend..let me shout it out here "JACK WHITE" is dreamy good lovin
