Obama supporters are middle class working people with a tight budget and still they reach out and provide food for those in need says a lot about what Obama can do for America.
Now the weird part, the tragic poetry of it all is that doesn't McCain have millions under his belt? How come we don't see any of his people providing food and shelter for these people? Oh wait.. he doesn't have HIS own group of people.. just big companies and lobbyist that holds no interest in reaching out.
obamas apperances in indiana have lead to a spike in indianas volunteer community, my conservative neighbors and my independent family are living in one house in harmony because of your message, we're all in this together. no matter what makes us different we're all the same, obama you've got indiana's vote, be sure of it.
i live in indiana and i have to say every time it floods every year its not a problem, this year throughout the midwest the damage cost amounted more than hurricane katrina.my house was carried away, i had to take a boat to get to higher ground, every time obama comes to indiana we see a huge spike in volunteers, obama you are one amazing dude because of you my republican neighbors completely switched there views and are housing an extra family in there house (us), youve got indiana's vote
My aunt's shown here and helps daily to get food to people in need. The stories I hear from her are devastating. Almost 2 months ago the floods hit and there are still people living in tents on their front lawns, unable to move into homes because of mold/damage, no where to go. How will winter affect them? I am happy to see this online but most people will never know the devastation we are feeling right now. Please send this on and spread the word. As Americans, we need to support each other.
Good to see the Obama campaign talking about issue that matter to the average american, instead of the McCain campaign who focus on talking about britney and paris, and taking pride in being ignorant.
Can anyone explain to me why the Dems aren't negotiating on offshore drilling ... I bet Republicans would be willing to put higher fuel standards and lots of money towards new technologies in any bill, just to get the drilling passed.
If they don't, then the Dems can point out that Republicans don't really care about energy policy ... just oil companies.
This seems like a great opportunity for us since we'll probably have to give in on drilling anyway.
It creates awareness for Indiana flood victims, makes Obama look good, and shows by example what Obama's bottom up volunteer movement can do beyond this election.

Building networks and getting to know people is how a community and a country can thrive. Hopefully one day the community can span the whole world.

Just a thought ( a suggestion for Obama to consider)... but could the Federal Government set some new standards?
If construction/rebuilding in flood zones used designs that are actually flood resistant then the next flood would not be so devastating.

And you do that how????

I feel for these folks. FEMA is a disaster themselves. Waste funds & unorganized.

FYI after Katrina Hit Bush didn't go to New Orleans because he was busy celebrating John Mccains birthday.
obama sees whats going on and thus this video is up. Mccain is oblivious to the suffering of anyone who isn't rich

Beautiful to see people coming together to help when there's trouble.
This election is so tight that we are seeing how divided we can be.
It was refreshing to see this
and on a campaign channel.
