  • Здорово смонтировано. Обратите внимание,- съёмка ведётся то с одной стороны речки, то с другой. Но идея отличная!

  • When the log breaks, and the bear falls, the cougar looks like a cartoon character lol :-)

  • You can tell this film is false.....Even when the cougar is on the rock and the bear is flaoting.....Its been super-impose....LOL :-) Many faults in this,,, Not real at all!!

  • Great video little bear is safe...don't mess with big Mama Bear

  • @foreveryourfoxy It's Papa Bear)))) Look at his ....))

  • then cougar needs to get in diet, and do the veggie tale

  • All the sound was pre-recorded by the actual animals. It had to be pre recorded because there was too much other noise going on, like animal trainers instructing the animals. This is an incredible film. Rent it on Netflix

  • I particularly disliked the Disney like-sound effects of the wimpering baby--it demeaned an otherwise marvellous film

  • check out my hilarious bear vid

  • HOW was this filmed?

  • cute <3

  • I think the bear had a sex change

  • Interesting to see how the cat knew exactly where the current would take the bear. Winnie broke bad on the cat at the end lol.

  • This was fabulous and incredible! The power of a parent's love...I love it!

  • lol this isnt nature, this is hollywood

  • at 0:53 my family thought I was watching porn...

  • @321beth321 lololol ;)

  • @MrSumitroy1979 yah! I need someone to tell me this answer too!! I'm totally amazed!

  • RIP Bart

  • Oddball WTF is wrong with u do u think the bears were the last animals on the whole planet? No I bet they weren't the cougar will find something else

  • Stupid! Bear tastes really great too.

  • It,s not a mom,but a male.If you watch the entire movie you,ll see what,s about.Excellent film about respect for wildlife,i watched it when i was 12 and still one of my favourites(30+ here)

  • the best video that i haved ever seen before

  • Poor cougar. She has cubs too feed. Now she'll starve and die and end up starving her cubs to death.

  • @oddballwayne That's natural selection

  • @oddballwayne lets think positive. the cougar managed somewhere else in the place where camera couldn't catch the death and chopping of some other animal, even though we all know it's how nature works.

  • @suomigirl666 not real...

  • @XxDarexX1111 i don't care... there are nice moments in nature and there are those not so pretty.... we all know that with or without a documentary....

  • @oddballwayne yay

  • @oddballwayne That ain't the only bear in the woods.

  • @oddballwayne its not real ..........

  • Státuspara.

  • I loved it!!!

  • 3:07 its like oh SHIT!!!!!!!!! :DDDDDD

  • @beneehall you are wrong my friend, he was just saying that your commentary was not needed (stupid) because we all know its fake, but rather like it... you should give people more credit

  • what, this shit is gay, made for tree-huggers

  • @MrPez5 No made for people with an actual brain and not just that liquid goo that floats in between your ears!! but i guess it can't be helped for someone like you to not get that THERE ARE OTHERS THAN YOU ON THIS PLANET!!

PS: WTF tree-huggers!!? there's not even af F**King tree in this move!!

  • @MrPez5 oh..yeah except for that one over the water... but that one's dead, and you would be hugging that too if it was your pitiful life that depended on it!!

  • @Xmus44 you are faggot. A tree-hugging faggot

  • @MrPez5 well thanks, and the same goes to you my dear sir!! oh... and GRO UP!!

  • @Xmus44 holy shit... your profile is so awesome!!!! i wish i could love cartoons as much as you xD

And for that elephants - well thats just fuckin funny :)

But really, you are faggot. And you are from Denmark - the gayest place in universe. And you are faggot. What are you, 12 years old faggot?

  • @MrPez5 but still not as gay as your boyfriend!! :) and have you learned any other words than "faggot" because you have now sed it about 5-6 times...LOL

PS: Really hope your "wish" may come true one day! and i am glad you like my awesome profile!!

  • @Xmus44 you are a faggot

    retarded faggot

  • @MrPez5 and that doesn't change the fact that im right, your know!!. and i cant take the word "faggot" seriously when it comes for a guy that has few. a vid. whit shit eating elphants!!

  • Very well done

  • This is from the 1989 movie, "The Bear." It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Film Editing in 1990. Search for it on IMDB.com.

  • Realmente bueno

  • whack!!!!

  • amazing video!!

  • Computer vs Camera is more like it.

  • This entire movie is a load of crap. It's Walt Disney times ten. Good god people, animals do not behave like this.

  • @beneehall stupid commentary

  • @JhovaBessi Brilliant rebuttal. You have no fucking idea as to how brainwashed you are.

  • @beneehall Do not behave like what??? Run away and try to survive or protect their young? Oh wait...they do both!

  • @AprylRed The mother bear would have made a full charge at the big cat, not hang back and make threatening noises. Disney would have loved this movie. Good god, animals don't behave like people and make people noises like whimpering.

  • @hopeso Obviously the noises are not real. BUT it illustrates that the baby bear was scared….and IT WAS. I don't like the sounds either, but doesn't mean it's completely untrue….or Disney. wow.

  • The little bear soooo cute

  • The phony sounds were so unnecessary. I almost thought I was going to hear Michael J. Fox's voice for a moment there (cringe). Good movie though.

  • Does anyone know another bear movie, which is about a man shooting a mama bear and one of her baby bears. The other one survives and grows up to a mighty tale whose story we get to follow. If anyone knows what Im talking about, plz, tell me the name of the movie, because I wanna see it again.

  • The story deals with a young cub who, after his mother is killed in a landslide, bonds to a lumbering male Kodiak. The two of them then must cope with an invasion of hunters into their territory--and Annaud makes it clear whose side he's on. Aside from stunning scenery, the film offers startlingly close-up looks at bear behavior. They say the best actors are the ones that let you see what they're thinking, a trick Annaud manages with his big, furry stars. --Marshall Fine

  • This is ok. But if u want to watch a real unscripted wild footage, then check out - the Battle at Kruger. That is the best wildlife clip I've seen yet!

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhhohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    que buen video

  • I actually had tears in my eyes. Then I seen Mom..

  • I felt like crying when it was getting scratched! Im happy its mom came :)

  • Annaud is one of the best visual filmmakers on earth. Watching his films always gives me hope for the future of cinema, though it's definitely getting harder to find funding for ambitious projects.

  • I found the bear's cries very endearing. A most fabulous movie!

  • @WashfromCali

you stupid sentimental twat they are not "bear" cries, you found crappy humanised vocals endearing.

next time say it as it really is, i found the humanisation of the bear endearing with the bullshit vocals, there dont i feel better, why yes i do.

  • @myzteron I'll bet you're from the UK, You limeys seem to love using that disgusting word.

  • @snowdog03

Actually, he is a Kiwi(NZ) not a Limey.!

    Good day to you.

  • The sound effects were VERY annoying and detracted from the movie.

  • ridiculous! messing with the nature with a tailored situation. As somebody said earlier, the film maker is taking sides. Please stop doing this kind of documentaries.

Adding to it, the human sounds. Please stop making mess with this cheap publicity stunt and better watch good nature films/ videos.

  • This irresponsible film-maker TAKES SIDES, placing an extremely endangered

species like the cougar, as "The Bad", and even uses HUMAN sounds to get you

to TAKE SIDES with the cute little bear. Can we just THINK for a moment, and

Realize that animals are not about taking sides, about being "good" or "bad"?

Both these species are in trouble. Also, i seriously doubt that the film presents

actual, real animal behavior. Looks more like his own Human Paranoia trick-ing us to believe this!

  • @mietinmiksin22

When did cougars become extremely endangered

  • Give some credit to the cougar too.. he knew his ass would be kicked!

  • Perdão, recebí este vídeo por email e achei que poderia colocar outra música e editá-lo.

Mas hoje descobrí que pertence a Jean, peço perdão, mas amei o vídeo, muito bom, parabéns.

  • This is by no means the best Youtube film to date. Even better than mine (lol)

    Congratulations.

  • I cant believe people think this is real! clever editing

  • I cant believe people think this is a reql scene! clever editing

  • When I first saw this video, I cried like a baby! so touching...absolutely loved this video

  • How the hell was this filmed?

  • the mama bear will fuck shit up

  • @discodisco yeeahhh thats actually the dad

  • @zbkasdan nooope not the dad

its just a random grizzly , fyi

  • @discodisco true true i shouldve said its adopted dad

  • @discodisco It is actually I male bear if you are looking closely...hehe

  • @discodisco Actually info on this clip states the cub's mother was killed in a landslide and the bear defending him is a male . . .

  • Great Movie and great scene from the movie.

  • How come grizzly cubs always sound like little girls when theyre stressed out? lol

  • MAMA save's the day! YOU GO....MAMA!!!!

  • @TOMAN4EVER

he is a male ... a big male grizzly

    mama died

  • @telemacohomewwod ...I know, but I would rather believe that "mama" is the hero>>>

  • best movie of my childhood for sure

  • This is just very clever editing. I doubt this actual event ever took place!

  • Correction, some of the films scenes appear real but the majority are a result of deliberate editing e.g. Phoney

  • Trust me when I say that this movie is a must see....what a wonderful storyline.............have the tissues ready because you'll need them. One of the best movies I've ever seen...EVER!!!

  • Precious!

  • the 13 dislikes are tigers.. XD

  • I so love a happy ending!

Momma will always be there for her little ones, if humanly or

    animal possibility exists.

  • Me too. Makes me want to defend the bear with a high-powered rifle and fend off the cougar. I know it's nature but it makes you want to intervene ! Ted :)

  • I didn't expect that baby bear will be alive. Amazing.

  • @davekrunal46

the baby bear has a humans voice

it really fucks up this amazing video

  • Fucking humongous bear! Of course, you know what surely would've happened if the cougar didn't back off..

  • The sound effects were pretty annoying...

  • @ambientflier

    pretty fake

  • @ambientflier

    Why were they "annoying"?

  • @ambientflier Sound effects there is no sound effects you must be hearing things.

  • Interesting all the hoopla about this film. I rented it, and enjoyed it a lot, as did my kids. However, as indicated in the credits this is fiction, designed to enlighten us to the sentience of all life, animals and human. It's a message film, not a true nature film. And contrary to what someone said was the authentic sounds of the baby bear, no, those were "acted" dialog by Sandy Whitelaw. It's a good film, no doubt, but people seem to love fantasy more than fact.

  • Instead, it emphasizes the ties that bind the human and animal worlds together. --Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat

  • Aside from stunning scenery, the film offers startlingly close-up looks at bear behavior. They say the best actors are the ones that let you see what they're thinking, a trick Annaud manages with his big, furry stars. --Marshall Fine

The Bear has all the marks of a classic. Lauded by animal rights groups for its respect for the integrity of all species, it manages to speak out eloquently against the senseless hunting of wildlife without having to depict killing to make its point.

  • Film Review: Storytelling doesn't get much purer than this--a film with virtually no dialogue and not a minute that isn't fascinating, either for the plot it pursues or the way director Jean-Jacques Annaud gets his ursine stars to do what he wants. The story deals with a young cub who, after his mother is killed in a landslide, bonds to a lumbering male Kodiak. The two of them then must cope with an invasion of hunters into their territory--and Annaud makes it clear whose side he's on.

  • Great Clip

  • الدب بواسطة جان جاك Annaud السينمائي --

  • The photography and sound are VERY amazing.

    I like happy endings... :^)

  • hmmm.. i dont get what the big deal is..

  • the scene where the little bear's mom appears reminds me of Lion King when Simba is rescued by his father.

  • I loved this video, is was so moving. I felt sorry for the baby bear in the beginning.

  • gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

  • Ear rape guaranteed!

  • Christianity in a nutshell: We are made strong through Jesus. Satan wants to devour, but we have a very powerful force behind us.

  • @dmelin suck me te dick you'r silly

  • wow man!!!! this shows the love between the bears. I wonder if this love can be between the humans, and then there would no terrorists, it would be just like heaven!!!!!!!!

  • Nice editing.

  • i love this movie!!! still moves me after all this time

  • 3:15... OH FK!

  • wow Pro.

  • e oso es un testigo de jehova y el jaguar es el diablo y la mama es jehova q ba a destruir a satanas

  • How on earth did he film this? It's some of the most incredible cinematography i've ever seen!

  • @hd53exw Yea I am wondering this myself...how is this even possible to film...

It doesn't look CG'd. and the things that happen are way too scripted to be real. Not to mention the specific camera angles they got.

  • @hd53exw Well, with trained animals, it's easier.

  • wow this is absolutely fantastic! the ending is so adorable!!

  • wow... great movie, great capture. thanks for sharing this :)

  • Too bad the baby bear sounds like it's in a porno.

  • Too bad the baby sounds like it's in a porno.

  • This is such a fantastic clip, more of the same please.

  • Mira este video, naturaleza salvaje, sorprendente, increible, que imagenes... una maravilla. De un director de cine llamado Jean Jacques Annaud. espero que os guste.

  • Amazing! I have to agree, it's awesome how engaging this is. We feel the little bear's fear and pain and desperation... Can't help humanizing the little one. Very enjoyable.

  • The love of a mother shows in the amazing video. Bear hunters...stop. Do you really think it is worth it to hunt these animals when just servival for them is hard enough? I don't hunt any more. Like the late Dan Blocker once said (Ponderosa fame) when his son asked if he could hunt deer. He replied "when the deer learn to shoot guns or bows you can then hunt them.

  • is that a mountain lion what is it

  • Wow, Its just like a disney cartoon. Its amazing now how, with a bit of splicing and modern camera work, even the crispness of nature in the raw, isn't safe from having the most tired human storyline applied. Ah well... someone has to keep the tearful Mums and baby sisters occupied before Oprah!

  • i don't know how he filmed it, but this is awesome!!

  • i felt so bad for the little bear, i really thought he would die,

    but the video is amazing...

    go mama bear!

  • Wow, I just watched this and went right to ordering the dvd.

Great clip! I'm looking forward to seeing the entire movie!

  • Supernatural thriller

  • all the people replying to those making ignorant comments are just as bad as they are. if you have any dignity, you'd just click spam and ignore them.

  • Great video!

  • Impresionante...!!!

  • ......AMAZING!!!

  • This is edge of your seat viewing. Go baby bear!!!!

  • I cried so much when I first saw this movie....!!

  • I don't care how this guy did it or the obviously added sounds effects.. it is a magnificent piece of artwork and it should be or have been awarded something... havent seen the whole movie but, now i will.

Why does everyone have to put politically correct spins on everything? If things don't conform to a particular ajenda all you hear is venom hate and violence on these pages.

    Thats sad!

  • Супер !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Супер !!!!!!!!!!!

  • what a horrible piece of phoney junk. imposing the cliche bad guy/monster role on the poor puma, +that ridicolous rumbling godzilla sound for the cat. This is an extermely kitschy and harmful misinterpretation of nature putting an evil side in it. This really does appeals to the lowbrow taste, shamefull to nature movies... and the bearcub with the sounds of struggling kid, just plain perverted, especially at the nad when it screams like some abomination, terribly wrong.

  • You have some severe perception issues about this vid, especially if you haven't seen the whole movie. Good luck understanding why this film was made this way. lol

  • @ytcrapster You are an idiot. Get out more.

  • @ytcrapster

This was and is an AMAZING movie you scumbag shit eater. Take your gay comments elsewhere.

  • I'm with you Brock, hopefully the % of stupid comments on youtube don't represent the number of idiots in this country. Because that's running at about 50% from what I'm seeing here. Crapter or whatever your name is below can go eat dick.

  • lol...at 3:27 the little bear is like ahhh shit thought it was all me...big bear is like get your ass over here what the hell is wrong with you....awesome movie though i seen along time ago....

  • @steven3079 I love 2:17 .... cougar is like, "Mmm...come to papa!"

  • This dvd has now been withdrawn by the suppliers. Why? The picture is pure greatness, regardless of scenes with pretend animals. Who cares? It's so well done and makes terrific viewing for everybody in the family. Not many films do that these days

  • my uncle got the autograph of the cougar at a bar one time, his career really went down hill after this flick ..

  • Beautifully done. I can't believe I haven't seen this before.
