It is made for 8 strings but Taimane only uses 5 or 6. A, E, C, and double low G, sometimes she doubles C also.

The only complaint i have of taimaine is that alot of her songs are covers, in this video it says the flamenco song is improv, however it is a cover of Let's Dance by Jake Shimabukuro.

however, she is extremely talented and a true testament to the versatility of the ukulele

Again, I'm blown away by your abilities, and your respect for such a wonderful, misjudged instrument. I've always loved the uke, but only got my first a year ago. I do quite a lot of long-term camping on paleontology digs, and love the portability and joy that the Uke has. I'm still in the very early stages of playing, really more like tinkering than really playing, and this so makes me want to explore it further. Mahalo!
