  • Thanks a lot , mate , ........always happy , if I'm able to provide some help and input to fellow fishermen(and women) around the world . Cheers , 61diemai

  • These look great! Thanks for posting this. It is very inspirational for my own lure making. Good fishing.

  • FUCK YOU YOU ARE ON THE ALL VIDEOS OF MAKING LURES AND YOU SUCK ASSHOLE FACK YOU!"!!

  • @martingeko97

So sorry , ...can't figure out about your clueless babbeling !

  • @martingeko97 he is better at making lures than you... LOL

  • Put the eyes on the other side of the spoon (inside). You can see that with a busy pattern on the foil, the eye looses definition. As the spoon spins, it will look as if they are on the same surface. Use much bigger eyes, too, while you are at it. Maybe large sequins might work. I love to make my own lures too. I bet primitive tribes took great pride in how they produced their gear. You won't be able to get enough money for them though unless you figure about a nickle an hour. Use them yourself.

  • @bomaite1

Thanks a lot , ...I should really try this reverse side eye , ...never did , actually !

    Greetz , 61diemai

  • Awesome..... keep up the good work! Great video and design by the way! i think you should try to sell on ebay!!!

  • @jtutubeish

Thanks a lot , mate , ......but I guess , that nobody is willing to pay a fair price for all the handwork , ........nevertheless I'm planning to put some homemade crankbaits out on Ebay some day , just for a test , .......seems that I'm carving more than I loose and making lures is my passion , LOL !

  • COOL what do you fish for

  • @MyBoomStick1

Thanks , mate , ........casting my spoons most likely for pike , but perch often take smaller versions as well !

  • the best feeling in the world is hooking a fish on your own creation. keep crafting and keep fishing, you are doing a great job. cheers

  • @SuperLovemaker1234

Thanks a lot ,........exactly know what you mean , had that feeling many a times before ,..... sometimes some really great models are resulting from my lure tinkering(f. e. the "DinnerBell" spoon) . cheers , diemai

  • Very excellent, go into buisiness.

  • @samljer

Thanks , mate , .......but I believe that nobody's willing to pay enough for elaboratly handcrafted lures .

    cheers , diemai

  • @61diemai Shitty lures around here are $15 "for the cheapest"

sell those as collected hand made, $30-50 in the canadian market. Id look into it ;0)

  • @samljer

If I only had more time , ........probably when I'm gonna be retired some day , ....to brush up the pension , LOL !

  • @61diemai lol well good luck, those are higher quality then the ones i pay $25 for here in Canada ;)

  • there better than mine.i shouldnt of had so many beers before making them..mine just spin when i use them.are they meant to do that or they meant to wobble through the water??..

  • @qbdils

.........some slender spoon models get to spin around their center axis on the drop , ......these are most likely lures for local seatrout here in the Baltic Sea of Northern Europe , ........generally a spoon should not get to spin on retrieve nor flip over . IMO a well shaped and balanced spoon wiggles well even at different retrieve paces , .........on some homemade models this is hard to achieve , as I have found , ...even without beer , LOL !

  • German "attention to detail". Excellent video !! Beautiful lures.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • @Msquad321

Thanks a lot for your kind words , mate , .........cheers , diemai

  • very good, thank you. I am trying with hobby tools anyway. I'm hard headed I guess, thanks for the vid

  • @slimecoat1

Thank you and good luck with your attempts ,..... these fishing spoons from table spoons are faster to be made rather than cutting your own spoon blanks from brass , copper or stainless sheet metal , ..but require sufficient power tools .

At least unpolished brass and copper spoons can be made without any powertools(except the drill required for the attachement holes) , but pure handwork takes longer and more elbow grease , off course !

  • You should show how they spin in the water. Real nice job by the way.

  • @gamblers13

Thanks a lot , .........they won't swim much different in the outdoors , ......guess , that in the bathtub one can see the swimming motions better , at least with such reasonably small lures .

  • Look really nice. Well done :)

  • Actually it seems , that if I have lost one video sequence !

To decrease the wider spoons cupping , beat the readily shaped spoon on a vise or similar steel surface with a plastic hammer , so that the cupping flattens out a bit .

For the "S"-shaped fore end hold the blank by its rear and put it on the vise under an angle of about 20° , hit the fore end with the plastic hammer to bend upward .

A too deeply cupped spoon tends to flip over easily and would only flutter on its back !
