@brawyn777 Viscereal (Spelling? Well the company that made Dantes inferno) posted a job opening with a description like "Environment designer for the sequel to our newest sequel to one of our IP's. The game will be the leader of the action/melee genre".

Anyway, it wouldn't be dead space because dead space was already well on its way through development, and is a horrer/scifi/thriller/shooter type game. Dantes inferno is their only other IP. :P

Well the main reason it hasn't been getting good reviews is because all reviewers want to see nowadays is originality. They get so caught up in games being "original" that they don't appreciate games that stick to a simple, yet effective formula. I am still getting it for sure, because I have played the demo and know its amazing. I also keep in mind these reviewers are the same people who said RE5 was better than Dead Space, which is absurd because Dead Space was far better.
