@DavoleBomb they are a great band. Buy The Mantle, and you'll be hooked on them for eternity. The Mantle is focused more on acoustic guitars, but very beautiful. Check out Odal by them, also bloodbirds is from the same cd as falling snow, and its a damn good one. I hope you stick with them because each one of their CDs tells a very very enjoyable, unique story. My favorite band for the past 4 years. Enjoy :p

Saddens me that so many people in metal equate emotion with anger alone, giving us a sea of generic screamo metalcore bands, all of whom are mystifyingly lauded to high heaven. This has more emotion, depth and passion than any of those bands can ever hope to convey. Does exactly what it needs to, but no more. No pointless twiddling, no "crouch down gripping the microphone with both hands while you scream the lyrics" cliche, just pure atmosphere. Amazing song.

it's a common misonception when people mention opeth on agalloch vids. far too many people think it means they are like them musically, which obviously they are not. what a lot of people really mean is that this music touch's them in the same way as opeth's music. in a way that no other music can. the mix of music and lyrics with both bands is perfect and it hits people in the same way for both. i wish people would stop saying this doesnt sound like opeth and accept that this just touch's people
