Looks tasty--I've thought of trying some ox tail before---you can get it at walmart sometimes---maybe I'll get some and cook a dish with it--ha! Maybe this dish! this music remnds me of that in chinese restuarants somtimes-ha!

Did you presoak or precook the barley at all? Every other place I've looked claims that both pot and pearl barley take an hour to cook.
