A great rock band, a guitar, bass and drums. Thats all you need need when you got the chops. These guys kick some serious butt, and with Ronnie Montrose after battling prostate cancer.
Me and my friends are older guys and all of us love "classic" (read: GOOD) hard rock and metal. And we often get into debates. I managed to make all of them angry a few years ago, when I insisted that Ronnie Montrose... in his prime... could utterly DESTROY Jimmy Page (who was the leading hard rock guitarist in most people's minds, back in those times). Well I don't care if they got pissed at me, because I still think that I'm right. Jimmy had more flash... but Ronnie had bigger balls.
hope you sued that asshole gary moore for nicking your guitar there was noway he did not know it was nicked gary moore was scum . HE EVEN GOT SUED $2 MILLON FOR SAYING HE WORTE STILL GOT THE BLUES and he fucked up the best band in the world THINLIZZY
Saw Montrose in Livermore about two months ago with this lineup except a different drummer. Pretty tight. Look, Sammy ain't comin' back so get over it. Keith is good.
I just found this and a few more Montrose videos here on YouTube....All I can say as I have the Montrose album of 73 in my top FIVE rock albums of of all time...Hows that for a comment?
Yaaas! modern version of "back in the day" bands where EVERY band member better bring their "A" game--ALL of 'em. See: Thin Lizzy; UFO; Faces; Humble Pie; Rory Gallagher; Who; Zep;.....just saw Chickenfoot--Better than expected. A-gamers all of them.
@mnpatzer Amen brother...front to back, the first Montrose "album" is the best!!!! Better than Boston's first 'cause it had that shit ballad at the end. I could live out my years listending to Montrose and Boston back to back.
Singer is tone deaf!

The kid doing the singing needs to skip the leather pants.
(...and prolly the red shoes, too, unless he's doing some kinda "Sammy" thing. Be yourself, dude.)

@xtcpino - I was apoplectic at first...from a distance, the singer looks like Carrot Top! LOL!

I just saw Montrose on 4/12/10, and they rocked every song....the vocalist was great live, and ronnie was flawless as usual

Who's the singer? He sounds like Hagar, but that doesn't look like him nowadays.

That's sounds good. I can't believe Ronnie Montrose lost his hair. Was his hair too thin, or was hair loss from cancer?

@mnpatzer For sure, the first two Montrose albums are SO underrated--absolute butt kickin classics. They never get old.

Jesus, only one silly comment? To one of the greatest rock songs by one of the greatest rock guitarists?
I bow to you and thank you for Montrose, Gamma and Ronnie Montrose.
Thanks for sharing your spirit.
