I think you're right. I know they filmed parts of 2 of the Wilderness Family movies in the Gunnison National Forest. I would have to watch the films again to compare the scenery but it looks like a similar area! Thanks for watching & God bless!
Hi. Thanks for watching the video and for your kind words! This campsite is near Taylor Park Reservoir. There are many trails with places to set up camp, just like this one. Just get off the beaten path!!! Thanks again for watching.
Howdy, neighbor! Thanks for watching & just think....January is right around the corner....the new year....before you know it, it will be Spring and camping time again!!! Merry Christmas & God bless!!
Hi there! Colorado is a beautiful state. If only we could all afford to live in beautiful cabins in the mountains as opposed to here on the Front Range!!! Thanks so much for stopping by & blessing me with your comment.
i probably have stayed at your little spot there, every summer i have been blessed to be able to spend 2 or 3 months out in the backcountry, and my favorite places all seem to be right around there! i even got engaged on cottonwood pass (got out and climbed up lol she had a broken leg)
Thanks for stopping by! Yes, that area is amazing. We camped there twice last summer. That's a funny story about the Cottonwood Pass broken-leg engagement!!! Happy Camping & God bless!
Howdy. This camping spot is in the Gunnison National Forest, West of Buena Vista...over Cottonwood Pass. It's not in a public campground. We camp there because it's not crowded, I dislike public camgrounds...and it's free. Anyway, this was a spot we stumbled upon, past Taylor Reservoir and seveal miles down a US Forest Service 4x4 trail. There are countless great spots like this available if you just drive off the beaten path!!!
Beautiful! I haven't spent much time in Colorado, but this reminds me of all my trips out west to Montana, Wyoming, and the badlands to some extant. Colorado is next on my list!
Thanks for stopping by! I just put up several videos from a recent trip up to Glacier National Park and Alberta, Canada if you want to check them out. Sounds like you enjoy the West as much as I do! Thanks again for stopping by.
Howdy. Thanks for stopping by and for blessing me with your kind words!
