@slide4180 he plays what most rock players would like to play, but they never get it. For him it is way too easy to play stuff like this, only one chord, 4/4 time, but it sounds (and looks) good !
@Hlotar Nobody knows whether most people like free jazz or not, since most haven't heard it, nor even heard of it. I'm pretty sure this is not free jazz though, as evidenced by the well defined ensemble parts that are pretty clearly rehearsed ahead of time.

Yeah!! At the Hollywood Bowl around 1984 after a day of underwhelming pop jazz stylists, these guys closed the show & just tore the place apart. It was so great to hear some passionate real shit for a change. Thanks for posting & would love to hear more of this band.
