As close as the first fight was, I've always felt very strongly that MAB won it. I don't feel that getting the short end of the stick on that night had anything to do with this fight's results. I feel he won another close fight with even more rounds that were highly difficult to judge. I scored it 115-114. The other 2 fights were 50/50 & they recieved 1 each so it evens out but this was the only clear win for either man + Morales has a slightly better winning resume outside of this trilogy & he beat Pac & Jones who both beat Barrera twice.

Morales is way more exciting too if your looking for bonus points which he doesnt need as he is a notch better anyway.

Yeah I saw it, why twiggyyy? You think Barrera won? Barrera did land alot of hard shots but Morales always answered back, always. Morales also showed the world in the 12th round that he truly had the heart of a champion after the ref scored a knockdown in Barrera's favor (which wasn't really a knockdown) remember, and what did Morales do? That boy came back FIGHTING with urgency, like a warrior. Barrera was exhausted and resorted to fouling and smothering just as he did in the third.

Without question, the weakest part of the otherwise great sport of boxing is the judging. I think they got it exactly WRONG on both Barrera-Morales fights (Barrera should've been given the first one, and Morales the second, not vice versa!).

There is a better way to do the judging, but it will never carry the day. Every sport clings to its traditions, even when they are bad ones.
