  • Happy 100th birthday Johnny!

  • respekt

  • my uncle lives right down the street from him. isnt that crazy?

  • That is so awesome!! He was really quite a guy!

  • he was so handsome...

  • This guy was amazing, so upbeat in his life and not willing to be stopped by it in any manner. I gotta say though, he would have made a great zombie! What a cool guy, and it's great that he lived as long as he did with no problems!

  • The guy at the end is Richard? O.o

  • Johnny is so bad-ass he can lift weights in a starched shirt and bow tie!

  • He was adorable!

  • Anyone played Silent Hill 4?

This guy reminds me of the Twin Victims! Look at the way he "walks"! :O

    He's kinda cute, actually... ;)

  • Johnny was an amazing person! :D Such an inspiration

  • On the Freaks DVD, it's said that Eck had a full-bodied twin brother with whom he did the ultiamte sawing-a-man-in-half trick. Does anyone know if that was ever put on film?

  • That would be the most amzing youtube clip ever.

  • @Bobzeaux no footage was ever FOUND but thier may be some out thier

the magician was called rajah raboid if you want to look him up

  • Rajah Raboid... Thanks a lot. :)

  • Johnny Eck is a legend and for a man with no lower torso he is extremely agile.

  • Johnny was amazing; I love his one-armed handstands. That takes tons of strength, even though Johnny didnt have the extra weight of the bottom half of his body.

  • grande tio... viva COX

  • I noticed Baltimore City Hall in the background. Then I remembered that Johnny was from Baltimore.

  • my fam got three of his paintings

  • one of us

  • gooble gobble

  • I love this man.

  • There`s a great (though OOP) movie called `Freaks Uncensored` with some wonderful JE footage on it, among others.

  • great

    :)

  • the amazing johnny eck

  • I'll post my Johnny Eck tattoo when I get it next month!

  • My beloved Johnny. Though I could live without the eye-popping guy....

  • ditto. johnny is such an inspiration... and what a stud he was, too

  • Johnny did have a pelvis, as well as small, non-functioning legs he kept tucked away under his clothing. The best guess of his condition is sacral agenesis.

Amazing video, never seen it before.

  • Anyone know how Johnny functioned? He appears to have no pelvis at all...? He had a "normal" twin brother. They would be part of a vaudville act where a magician would saw the brother in half, Johnny would jump out and chase his lower half about (which was a little person with pants pulled up over his head! Cool!

  • I had heard that Leonardo DeCaprio was going to play Johnny, and that it was already in the works...He was a pretty talented painter as well....thanks for posting this!

  • That whole scheme seems to have died in pre-production.

  • I'm pretty sure Jeff Krulik, the documentary filmmaker who did "Heavy Metal Parking Lot" was the guy who did this trailer. Check out http://www.planetkrulik.com/

  • god always wanted to go to a great Victorian freak show or one of ward halls freak shows in the U.S, but ain`t going to happen now,

Any idea about the clip you put up is it just johnny eck or all about the others that was in side shows and on the film freaks

  • I found this clip on the web a few years ago. Someone who had access to footage like this of Johnny was going to make a documentary film about his life called "King of the Freaks". Since then I haven't been able to find the site or a copy of this video anywhere, which is why I put it up here.
