  • Skeaky floors SHOULD NOT be secured with drywall screws!!! You should use a #8 1 1/4 inch wood screw. The threads should be wide, not close together!)

  • @greymilton drywall screws come in two thread sizes those for wood and those for metal studs. i build with both. depending on the application. the course are for wood studs the fine are for metal. yea drywall screws can be used in wood who would have guessed that. maby the guys that decided 3/4 of the screw would live 100 percent of its entire life inside of wood. go figure that one.

  • cant find leveling compound at lowes... they tried to give me cement floor compound thats not suitable for osb or partical board! now what????? i have a joist that is high and cannot plane enough to get the floor flat.

    also how does the line tell you if the floor is running square? and what if its not?
