@miniclydsdale I am a cheerleader and a hunter/jumper (hences the username;) and all the girls n my squad say oh riding isn't a sport u just sit o top of a horse and they do all the work, and i say exactly what u said, well cheer isn't in the olympics is it?? Didn't think so?!

You have to be just as fit if not more, than anyother athlete out there. You have to know your horse and understand it. You have to have a huge aamount of expirence to simply stay on. When People say it isnt a sport i just want to have them get on my horse. First of all, see if they can control it. Second of all, put it through many paces and Third, I want them to jump. Complete the course, no faults whatsoever and STAY ON!! Phhfff try it.. its harder than you think ! ;) good video!

Nice vid, but what the hell? Is there no love for the western riders? I love your videos don't get me wrong but western is every bit as difficult as english. Takes the same amount of skill when you do it as it is meant to be done and not how those stupid ass wannabes do it.

totally agree. Although horse riders seem to know anything and everything about horse riding...barrel racing is fuckin hard and needs an extremely well trained horse...same with jumping.

I read these comments and people getting into arguments about jumping is harder than barrel racing for example or vis verser.

i hate it wen some1 says riding take no work!!! my gym teacher was asking wat sports we played and me and my friend said horse jumping and he said "u cant realy call that a sport since the horse does all the work" being a smart ass i told him "if u wanna try to stay on a horse jumping a fence twice ur hight with no expirience i wanna be there with my camera wen u fall" evry1 laughed and he sent me 2 the office. i didnt get in trouble tho caue my principal agreeed... lol

Horses are amazing. Each day I wonder how come they put up with such abuses; over the years I have seen in every single disciplines atrocious abuses ; it does not matter that it is Dressage and the horrid horrid drilling, hyperflexion, german reins or jumping with terrific pulling on their mouths so much so that some end up with spasms and broken teeth, western the incredible destructions of joints..... from beginners riders who bang on their backs to pro who push them for their personal glory

if they reallllllly didnt like it they would stop themselves but as some of us riders see that some of the horses love their job! horses are stronger than us if they didnt want to do jumping ect they wouldnt!!!! i dont agree with bronc riding cause thats just cruel to the poor horses! but one of my trainers horses loves to jump u have to hold her back cause she loves it so much the mare i sometimes ride loves to work! and she 17. 2 HH!!!!!!!! if she didnt want to work she wouldnt!
