It isn't in anime, but I am writing sequel to Princess Tutu, where Fakir's promise to Ahiru, to stay by her side no matter what, is a confession of love for her and that confession brings her back as Ahiru. My story will have so many twists that nobody will know where it's heading next. I also am working on Ahiru's and Raven's past as prequels to the series. They might get published as ebooks.

I am writing her past life and guess what? somebody from the series is going to turn Ahiru, or her TRUE name Aorio, into a duck as punishment for her being so selfish, and we meet her duck form in episode 1. I am also writing sequel that will bring her back to her TRUE form from prequel and she will remember her TRUE name, which is very close to Ahiru, but different enough that maybe I won't be infringing on Ikuko Itoh's copyright.

@Caram3lLov33 to tell the truth , I think no, because in the 3rd season the authors omitted some chapters in manga and if I had to be sincere, I would like to recommend you to read manga ending, because the author of it made side story -sorry I do not remmember the title and it was really the end.

By the way, the best moments in 3rd season was in the last 2 episodes, but I recommend you to watch earlier seasons in order to understand relationship between characters.

@Caram3lLov33 I really don't think there's another anime like Princess Tutu out there. It you like the magical girl, romance,fantasy style of anime then Sailormoon, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Yumeiro Patissiere are great shows. Yumeiro Patissiere doesn't have as much magic then others but if you like cute things it works well.

Also Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Ouran High School Host Club, and Wedding Peach are great too!!

@scythe4580 Sadly this is a promo of the anime that has past.

From what I've seen in alot of anime trailers, they like to use scenes that have origianl artwork style, high quailty art and technics, and some what a complete different storyline. So no new series or movie.

This promo was most likely shown on it running network to get people hooked who read the manga in japan. The anime didn't follow the manga, the trailer appears to. Kinda like a big fat white lie.

I would have been much more accepting of the last scene in the final episode if Duck had begun to glow or something (like she does whenever she turns into duck the girl), while it showed Fakir writing on the dock and THEN cut to a black screen. If that would of happened I could have at least been satisfied with the ending, even if Duck and Fakir never kissed.

Ahiru at least deserved to be with Fakir after all the hard work she put in, being princess tutu to bring back the princes heart just for it to end the way it did...but i do agree that a bit of tagedy does make the story even better...hapy endings are a bit over rated and the ending to this is somewat bitter sweet

Fakir writes Ahiru to become a human or a new villian or villians appear. Ahiru gets something of a fairygodmother thats more like someone who gives advice and gives Ahiru the power to return human. Also Ahirus duck yellow has started to turn white and kinda makes it more like Cinderella and the Ugly Duckling togather. It's close to my fanfic anyway. I love for it to happen, but it might never will.

The villians are a pair of dancers from a past story, the female tries to take Fakir away be it by dance or bring the his former story to light with a twist, and the Male tries to give depressing actions on Ahiru to get her story to fail. And the godmother like character is from the same story but is the happy yet sad ending.

My fanfic had a different title, but I changed it to this one. I haven't started to right it though.

Fakir was most likey to be a little different had the commical been the same as the show. In that animes first season he is dark. Darkness in the light is Fakir. As the Knight turned Writer, he traded the Sword to a Pen. But because he is a Knight he feels powerless to protect Ahiru the way he wanted. Most likely to keep her a human.

There are two seasons of Princess Tutu. Episodes 1-13 make-up season 1, while 14-26 is season 2. Plus there are also two OVA re-cap shorts, the first season's new year's short, and the second season's 'Mr. Cat's lessons in love' short. The only way to watch them is on the DVDs
